> 3 dayAs stated this fan what not what I expected for the price. Tipsy, slightly unbalance blade when it is on, you can tell by the slight rattle sound coming from it, not rugged at all or heavy duty made. I purchased for my sister and not in a position of returning it hence she is stuck with it. Would NOT recommend this fan or would I accept it for half its cost..just not a quality product.

> 3 dayMy Lasko helped me get through a very warm Washington summer. I have no air condition in my apartment and this kept it cool enough. I would open up all the windows at night and pushing aside the curtains. I had the fan running near the patio door to really push the cool air in. I also had a smaller fan in the bedroom. Once it started warming up a bit the next morning, I closed everything up and kept the fan running on high. It must have worked because one Monday I had a crew of 4 electricians come through my apartment checking all the circuits and they noted my place was a lot more comfortable than the others. But I want to clarify that it was still warmish because this is NOT an A/C and if a fan is pushing warm air, you are still going to get warmish air that has been cooled somewhat by the circulation. But it did its job by keeping a breeze going and circulating the air so I wasnt sweltering. Is it noisy? Yes. Naturally, as you lower the speed, the less noise it makes, but it does make some noise. It didnt really bother me because I can tune it out while reading a book or am working on my laptop. I just view it as white noise. Quality is a tad less than what I would except for $51, with the case being a bit flimsy, but it handled being knocked over twice by the dog (onto the concrete patio floor) so it is strong enough to deal with a few blows . Overall, I am quite satisfied with the Lasko. Update June 2018: I still have this fan and it has withstood 24/7 running during the summer months for the past two+ years (where temps have reached into the mid 90’s) and we are looking at the same for this summer. The noise has faded into the background and I consider it white noise now. It has never overheated and outside of needing a good cleaning, has held together extremely well. It is currently sitting next to the open patio door pushing some of the cooler late afternoon air into the apartment. Tonight I will move it into the bedroom and place next to an open window for a cooler sleep. Again, it won’t replace an a/c, but until I can afford one this has helped keep me comfortable.

> 3 dayThe motor finally gave out on my 10+ year old box fan and this sounded like a suitable replacement. Easy to move and position. I use it in my upstairs bedroom.

> 3 dayI like this fan because it has a variety of setting and it blows air well and can be easily moved up or down. Light weight for a fan its size. The down side it doesnt have a remote or timer. Overall I like it. I even like sleeping with it on.

> 3 dayAmazon listed this package to be delivered a week late. It came on time within two days. The fan was already assembled in box. Ive fought dozens of these over the years and theres always some assembly. I think I got a used fan here. It works fine. Its clean. I thought it would be louder though, and I use it for white noise for sleep. Kinda disappointed it isnt very loud.

Greater than one weekIts hot and super muggy in Brooklyn now and this fan has been one of the best things I ever purchased from Amazon. It arrived in a crunched box and I thought I would find a broken fan inside but to my happy surprise, it was without a scratch. The wind this dynamo produces actually does cool down my hot living room (its quite large for a mid-income building in NYC). Sadly, my old air conditioner is kaput. Several years ago, I bought a large overhead light and ceiling fan thinking it would help with sky-rocketing energy costs and I wouldnt need to run the air-conditioner on high as much. Boy, was I wrong. The afternoon sun burns up my apartment and even with the air-conditioner and ceiling fan, it tends to get stifling in here. Last summer when the air-conditioner sighed its last cool breath, I was pinching pennies and decided I needed another fan so I bought a costly Lansko upright model locally. Total waste of money. It hardly blows any air even though it’s silent and oscillates. Still pinching pennies these days, a new AC is not an option. On top of the cost of buying one with a high enough BTU, my buildings management wants $375 just for the installation because of the kind of custom windows we have under strict warranty. All this to say, the Wind Machine 3300 has been doing double-time when the temp rises over 90 and the heat index feels more like 115 degrees. Yes, it’s a little noisy when turned on high and it does not oscillate but that’s nothing I can’t live with for the breeze. I like that I can adjust where the air is blowing by tilting the fan up or down. Twice now, I’ve even forgotten to turn on the overhead fan which proves to me that this (under $40) powerhouse is a bargain. I risked the bad reviews and am thrilled with this purchase! Just keeping my fingers crossed that the Wind Machine will keep working as it is now.

> 3 dayThis is a great fan, and very powerful, especially for folks on a budget. Its a bit on the large side for indoor use in a small apartment, but I dont care because its also very powerful, even on the lowest setting. It is very light and easy to move around in spite of its size. It dropped the temperature in my bedroom by two full degrees without my touching the thermostat, in only a couple of hours. So it is very good for the electric bill. The design is great for people with children or (like me) pets. There is no way to knock this fan over with the way it is shaped and the fan blades are well enclosed away from little fingers and paws. I love that I can tilt it toward the ceiling to maximize airflow in the room, or down toward the floor for drying after a good mop. It does make a bit of noise, but its a soothing white sort of noise, and fine for leaving on all night while I sleep.I quite enjoy it, actually. I did not get any kind of discount in exchange for my review. Just really liked the product. If you find this review helpful, please click Yes before you go.
