> 3 dayI like this fan, especially the white noise when I fall asleep. But, it stopped working and only came with a 1 year warranty. I was surprised by how little of a warranty it has when Vornado has a 3 year warranty. This thing is well built but did not last long. Disappointed.

Greater than one weekSo far this is a really good fan. I use it in front of my treadmill to cool me down when I run. I like that it isnt a pedestal fan and it sits on the ground, but it can be rotated up to aim directly at me instead of a traditional box fan which can only be facing forwards. It puts out a good amount of air and even on its lowest setting produces a good breeze. So why four-stars then? Two things. The location of the knob is not very convenient. It is located on the back of hte fan, so when you tilt the fan up, you actually have to reach underneath and behind the fan to get to it. Seems like they couldve put it near the handle or on the side and it wouldve been just fine. Second thing is cord length. Id read many of the reviews and questions and there was talk of cord length, and some said it was 5 feet, some said 6 feet, some said 8 feet, so there didnt seem to be a lot of agreement. I havent actually measured it, but Id guess it is closer to 5 feet, maybe even less... meaning that pretty much anyone will have to run an extension cord to use it no matter where they want it unless its right near an outlet. I get this is true of a lot of fans, but was really hoping to be able to plug it in without an extension cord.

> 3 dayI really wish it had lasted longer before it burnt out. While it worked it was a great fan. Somewhat difficult to clean, but very strong and kept my room cool until I turned the a/c on in July. It was used approximately 3-4 months of the year and I bought it 3 years ago - so it took about 12 months of use for it to die. For the price it really should have lasted longer.

> 3 dayIm a classroom teacher and in our school, the teacher cannot control their own air conditioning. So in the weird spring months when the temperature can be chilly or down right hot during the day, my classroom with 32 bodies begins to heat up. I checked throughout Amazon for a fan that would do the trick. I had a box fan in my class that I borrowed from another teacher and all it did was blow hot air. After reading the reviews, I thought I would give this one a shot since it was smaller, and people seemed to love it. After testing it out, I am now a fan (no pun...ok will maybe pun intended). This fan does blow cool air and in fact on the highest setting actually made some of my students cold on a hot and stuffy 85 degree day. It will not work miracles on the sweltering summer days of 110 in the desert but it will at least give you some relief. It is easy to carry and it doesnt take up much room. In fact you can put it on a big shelf and it doesnt rattle so much that it would fall off. The noise is moderate especially when on the highest level but on the lowest and medium levels, the noise was not enough to distract my students. The quality is much better than a normal box fan. You can tell the plastic is thicker and this is more durable than the average box fan from Home Depot or Lowes. The price is great and worth it. About double the average box fan but the average box fan to me is a complete waste of money so spend a little more to get more. If you looking for a fan, this one is not very expensive and get the job done better than some of the $100 oscillating fans Ive had.

Greater than one weekEffective in circulating/cooling. Lightweight yet strong. My third such fan over the past 10 years. Only drawback is that it’s difficult to clean the blades.

> 3 dayI love the air output of this fan! My old one died after 6 years of continual use. I was so glad to see that this fan wasn’t discontinued and was so excited to reorder it!
