> 3 dayI am sending this back. Its homely, too big in its footprint, and really junky in its plastic construction. Truly unattractive. Im buying a tower fan instead and in addition maybe an air purifier. And - BUYER BEWARE - the company that sends this fan out notes that you cannot use the fan, not even to try out the wind (!!), if you are going to send it back. They stipulate for returns that the fan must not be used, must be packaged in the original packaging, and so on. But jeeezzuss! you cant even turn the fan on and direct it at your bed to test the wind strength? Gimme a break.

> 3 dayWeve owned 3 of these so far, good value for the money. Low speed is below ambient, 2 speed is good background noise and air movement, 3 speed is too loud to sleep to but really moves some air quickly! Lifespan: - in a dirty pet house environment with nightly usage at 2 speed one lasted about a year. Even with full cleaning every few weeks eventually cat hair clogged the stator and it died a fiery arcing death. Thank God we were there to smell the burning smell and turn it off. Do not run unattended in dirty conditions. - In a cleaner non-pet house one has been in operation for over a year and needs fan blade cleaning (dust accumulation) about once per month.

> 3 dayAn Amazing fan the speed selector handles the speed you are looking for. If you are handy you can build a base and hang it from the ceiling.

> 3 dayI love the air output of this fan! My old one died after 6 years of continual use. I was so glad to see that this fan wasn’t discontinued and was so excited to reorder it!

> 3 dayIm a classroom teacher and in our school, the teacher cannot control their own air conditioning. So in the weird spring months when the temperature can be chilly or down right hot during the day, my classroom with 32 bodies begins to heat up. I checked throughout Amazon for a fan that would do the trick. I had a box fan in my class that I borrowed from another teacher and all it did was blow hot air. After reading the reviews, I thought I would give this one a shot since it was smaller, and people seemed to love it. After testing it out, I am now a fan (no pun...ok will maybe pun intended). This fan does blow cool air and in fact on the highest setting actually made some of my students cold on a hot and stuffy 85 degree day. It will not work miracles on the sweltering summer days of 110 in the desert but it will at least give you some relief. It is easy to carry and it doesnt take up much room. In fact you can put it on a big shelf and it doesnt rattle so much that it would fall off. The noise is moderate especially when on the highest level but on the lowest and medium levels, the noise was not enough to distract my students. The quality is much better than a normal box fan. You can tell the plastic is thicker and this is more durable than the average box fan from Home Depot or Lowes. The price is great and worth it. About double the average box fan but the average box fan to me is a complete waste of money so spend a little more to get more. If you looking for a fan, this one is not very expensive and get the job done better than some of the $100 oscillating fans Ive had.

> 3 dayThe air in our 1,000 sq ft apartment gets stale and I am not a fan of air conditioning. We have a/c but I prefer a fan to move the air. So I bought two of these fans. One for the living room and one for the bedroom where there is no a/c. The base of these fans is wide and sturdy. I have one fan in the living room on the floor where it can tilt up and move the air. It is handy for air drying clothes on an indoor umbrella clothes line when you cant put the clothes outdoors (like we cant) and dont want to scorch the clothes in the dryer. It moves the air around the clothes enough so they dry faster than without the fan and doesnt allow for a musty scent on humid days. The fan in the bedroom is sitting on top of an aquarium tank cover to save floor space and titled slightly downwards into the room. The cord to fan is adequate, neither too long nor too short. The control mechanism is in the back of the fan and it is easy to use. Just turn the knob. Fan blades are well protected from little hands and paws which was important with a curious cat around. I really like the power of these fans even at lowest setting. As far as noise, my hepa air filters are louder so I dont really notice if the sound is loud or not. My upstairs neighbors in the apartment are louder than anything we have in the house except for maybe the vacuum.

> 3 dayThis thing is great. Its not too small, its not too big. It can swivel up and down, the settings are perfect strengths, it is easily taken apart and cleaned. Its sturdy without being heavy. And it has a long life-span. The only negative is everyone else realized how awesome it is and its gotten expensive. I paid $20 for it on sale, that price makes it pretty darn great.

Greater than one weekI initially wanted a fan with a remote, but ordered this one anyway to replace an older Lasko fan. I would have kept the fan anyway, but it was way too loud (drowned out the TV, etc.) and even the lowest speed produced too much air for use in our bedroom. It would be a great fan for outdoor use though. Didnt care for the fact I had to pay for return shipping, but I should have realized that before purchasing it.
