> 3 dayMy 16 turbo fan finally quit on me right in the midst of a SoCal heatwave so it had to be replaced as quickly as possible. We used an inexpensive box fan we had to start with but had to be on high speed in order to tolerate the heat & that means a lot of noise. I decided to give this fan a try & I am so glad I did! We dont have a working a/c right now & with 4 kids in college this year, it will remain unrepaired for a few more years. This fan is for the master br which unfortunately is the hottest room in the house since its upstairs & faces south. The fan arrived completely put together, just needed plugging in & turning on. And what a nice breeze it puts out, even on low speed. It is positioned in front of the window by the bed so it can bring in the cooler night air & just move the air around in the daytime. It runs 24hrs a day & is fairly quiet for a fan its size but it isnt silent by any means. Ive never had a fan that is silent. The temp the 1st few days we had it were in the mid 90s & made it tolerable to be in the room only using the medium speed which is a relief knowing I can go to the high speed if needed next time were over a 100 again. We usually turn it down to low for sleeping as the outside temp drops a lot at night. Its not a/c but so far, its the best fan Ive used since the a/c broke 6yrs ago. Weve had all styles of fans & the last one, a turbo fan was the best until this one. Very glad we tried it & absolutely recommend it.

> 3 dayThis fan has a large surface area for the stand and is stable. It comes apart for cleaning the blades and grill. While it is not as quiet as I would like it moving air makes noise and this fan makes the least amount of noise compared to a few other brands I have owned. It moves air at a good clip or slowly depending on which of the 3 settings one chooses. It has a long cord so it can be moved around the room and it can be rotated to move air straight up. I didnt get a remote so I cant comment on that but for the money this is the fan. Ive owned several and they lasted me ten years with spring and fall cleaning of the unit. I also put the vacuum nozzle right up to the electric motor vents to pull out debris and with the windows open all summer and 2 cats and 2 dogs I get a lot of debris... I recommend this fan. And thanks to the company for making something to last! Thats the way to keep customers!

> 3 dayOctober 31, 2019 update: I contacted Lasko directly and they sent out a replacement blade and it corrected the issue. Replacing the blade was easy, removing the 4 screws that secured the front grill and the 2 screws that secure the handle. The old blade pulls off and the new one pushes on. That’s it. As mentioned previously, this fan pushes a lot more air than the typical box fans we have, and that was the primary reason for purchase. Original review: October 23 & October 25 for the two fans delivered: I am at a loss to explain what is going on with these fans. I returned the first as it came broken. The replacement unit has an issue with the blades, causing a startup shudder/vibration and a constant vibration (which you can feel through the floor) as it runs. These were new, not refurbished, so it’s hard to explain! My plan is to reach out to the manufacturer before returning for replacement or refund, as I’ve lost faith that a replacement would arrive in good working order! On the plus side, these fans do put out considerably more air than our existing 20” box fans. The box work well and have worked well for years, but they don’t move a lot of air. This was the primary reason to purchase this fan over another box fan. I wish we could get one that isn’t broken and works properly! :(

> 3 dayI really wish it had lasted longer before it burnt out. While it worked it was a great fan. Somewhat difficult to clean, but very strong and kept my room cool until I turned the a/c on in July. It was used approximately 3-4 months of the year and I bought it 3 years ago - so it took about 12 months of use for it to die. For the price it really should have lasted longer.

> 3 dayNever have a box fan fall over again! Or have to raise one because floor level is too low. This fan is great looking, you know...clean. Its lightweight with a sturdy handle to reposition or carry. Its on a sturdy stand that doesnt fall over and holds the fan up well while its running. Its not whisper quiet, but its not overpowering loud and it doesnt make vibrating noises. You can set it on the floor and tilt it as much as straight up or even all the way over! I use the fan on my deck and I can feel its air movement a good 14 feet away...maybe more but thats the length of my deck! it wipes clean easily. It doesnt have cheap buttons that fall off or rust. This is a well built, sturdy fan you will not be disappointed you spent the extra few dollars over a box fan. I have had this fan almost two years now and will never buy another box fan as long as this fan is on the market!

> 3 dayMy fav. brand. Well made and sleek looking. Mainly use it as a noise neutralizer but also even on the lowest setting provides a soothing sustained breeze!

> 3 dayThis is a great fan, and very powerful, especially for folks on a budget. Its a bit on the large side for indoor use in a small apartment, but I dont care because its also very powerful, even on the lowest setting. It is very light and easy to move around in spite of its size. It dropped the temperature in my bedroom by two full degrees without my touching the thermostat, in only a couple of hours. So it is very good for the electric bill. The design is great for people with children or (like me) pets. There is no way to knock this fan over with the way it is shaped and the fan blades are well enclosed away from little fingers and paws. I love that I can tilt it toward the ceiling to maximize airflow in the room, or down toward the floor for drying after a good mop. It does make a bit of noise, but its a soothing white sort of noise, and fine for leaving on all night while I sleep.I quite enjoy it, actually. I did not get any kind of discount in exchange for my review. Just really liked the product. If you find this review helpful, please click Yes before you go.
