> 3 dayIll be honest and say that I ordered this for myself but the kids took it over and I had no chance. I never realized until I started building the larger Lego sets that I enjoy it immensely and I actually turned my spouse onto this as well. I two kids still interested in Legos as their journey has just begun at age five. The are starting K this year and dont have a great grasp on reading yet but building Legos have really helped them learn numbers. The instructions are fantastic and all you need to do follow them is look at the picture and and find how many of each piece you need for the next section. They still need some help from mom and dad but are really becoming quite proficient. This Ghost Train in pretty fun. It comes with multiple characters both scary and kind of normal. My favorite is the one that looks like Doc from Back To The Future. This takes a good chunk of time to put together, for us many days, as we let our young ones take the helm and work at their pace. This has a ton of new features that were not used to such as the cool pop out wings and the track. They kids love moving things and Im going to have to look into more track. These is definitely more intricate than our usual builds. The app it pretty easy to follow and come complete with scary music. You can choose your on ghost as well as if youd like to catch one. It was honestly a bit frustrating to me but the kids picked up on it quickly. Strange how that happens. This kept them entertained for a bit and theyve come back to it several times. They do enjoy playing with their set and come back to them almost every day. As with anything new and shiny it gets played with me most until it settles into the fray with the others. This is the only really interactive one with have though and its just in time for the month of little ghosts and goblins. Overall, a fun build (with the parents) and after using their little brains to build they can reacquaint themselves with a screen.

> 3 dayI wanted an activity I could do with my grand daughters when they came to visit over summer break. I was intrigued by the interactive ghost app activity. Like others have said, the build must take place before using the app. I did this build with a 6 and 8 year old girls. They havent played with Legos a lot and neither have I so it was a bit challenging. However, the illustrated instructions were really helpful and we were able to figure things out. It did take us a few days getting all of the 698 pieces together. This really wasnt because we got bored but rather we ran out of time with our first visit. I was surprised at how excited the girls were to finish it when they came back for a second round. The pieces of this set fit together well and like they should. The train is a good size once put together at 5 high, 5 wide and 24 long. The girls liked the mini figures they could play with and put in various areas of the train. We all had a lot of fun with the app hunting for ghosts on the Haunted Train and playing the interactive games. So fun that its released in time for Halloween. Make sure to check to see if your device will work before getting kids too excited. It worked on my Samsung Galaxy S9 and my husbands iPhone 6s but it may not work on some of the older phones. Since were new to Lego building sets, I dont have anything else to compare this to but we had so much fun that we want to build another set. So fun that Lego has these interactive sets. Im having a hard time breaking down the set as the girls want me to leave it up so they can play the app when coming over without having to start over.

> 3 dayWe are train and LEGO fans so this Ghost Train Express building set is a good fit. In addition to the basic components these Hidden Side sets include an optional augmented reality game app although an android or iOS tablet or smartphone is required to utilize that feature. After loading the app, point the device at the completed structure and move it around for an interactive experience. The Hidden Side app includes games, mysteries and ghost hunting/capturing. Future updates are mentioned which should help maintain interest. Check device compatibility on the website—checkdevice. And, it is probably obvious but to avoid confusion, the train is not motorized and use of the app is optional. This haunted train and station set is large, 5 inches wide, 5 inches tall and 24 inches long, and at 698 pieces it is reasonably challenging. The train tracks are the uniform size used in other LEGO building sets so they can be incorporated into other projects. Included are 5 minifigures and there are movable features on the train, like the pop-out ghost wings, a cannon to help eradicate the ghosts, etc. As always, the pieces fit together well which is not the case with some other brands. The illustrated instruction guide provides solid guidance and the finished project is visually impressive. The set is designed for ages 8 and above so younger builders may need older sibling or adult assistance during construction. Build time will vary based on experience and whether done over a couple of days or in a single sitting. Suitably creepy without being frightening. Excellent.

> 3 dayThis combines technology with the old fashioned hands-on building experience. Scary in a fun way. Not my favorite LEGO set, but they are all good.

16-11-2024After receiving the wrong set of legos... I returned it to get this set. After my son put it together which took hours, he really enjoyed it for 20 minutes.

> 3 dayWhen this arrived in our home, we were instantly enthused. The box is huge, and the photos on the front compel you to open and build it right away. Ill save the repetition of listing/explaining every single part of whats included - I think its better to just know that this is a set that can be enjoyed by ages young and old. If this set has been purchased for a younger child, with some help from parents or older siblings, it will be a Lego build that theyll love. On the opposite end of the spectrum, its a neat-looking train with features, so older (even adult) Lego fans will love it too. Our family (young and old) worked on this together and enjoyed it. Yours will too. We recommend this product. If you found this review helpful, please click the Helpful button below. Thanks!

> 3 dayEasy to follow directions make the creation of the Lego Ghost Train so much fun! The plastic blocks are colorful and sturdy, but once the creation is made, put the train up on a shelf where it can be carefully played with or keep the instructions handy to figure out where everything goes. Legos are a fun way to bring everyone together. We love them.
