LEGO Star Wars Resistance Major Vonreg’s TIE Fighter 75240 Building Kit (496 Pieces)

> 3 dayAmong the TIE Fighters in the LEGO fleet, this version is exceptionally well engineered. This set is from the relatively smaller scale Resistance show/series, so I almost didn’t buy it, but I’m glad I did! There are several novel build features which aren’t found in the other TIE fighters - great upgrades to make this a little more fun to build. The wing attachment (Especially this) and the canon trigger are nice upgrades to the other TIE designs. Major Vonreg is an awesome character (although now somewhat diluted by the advent of the red Sith Troopers), and Bucket is a unique addition in the astromech droid line-up (rather than simple repaints of the R2 chassis). I bought this for my son to add to his collection, since the dramatic look really caught his attention, but after building it, I had to order another for my own display collection!

Greater than one weekMajor Vonregs Tie FIghter has 496 pieces and packs a punch! I, a Star Wars original fan, am not that familiar with the series, but my teenage daughter is. She likes it and really likes the design of this fighter. 8+ age group with a fair amount of building for a smaller building toy. 4 mini-figs: Major Vonreg, General Leia, Kaz Xiono, and Bucket(r1-J5)- you must always have a droid. The mini-figs come with simple hand weapons. Of course, lots of red but with some cool design features, and it propels a missile. The crystal hatch opens up for Vonreg. It has a sleek style and fun to build. Whats not to love? I guess Ill have to watch the series.

> 3 dayThere is a reason why Lego won the title of best toy for the 20th century. They are simply the coolest toys probably ever invented. The way they spark imagination is truly amazing. I have 4 boys and 3 of them have been Lego fanatics. This was my youngest sons 12th birthday and I made it Lego themed and he loved it. It doesnt hurt that he is also a Star Wars maniac as well. He had very little time before he had to pack to go home to his Mother, so he only chose one Lego set to put together, and it was no surprise when he chose this one. He took careful time to put it together so he could savor every moment, and it was a pure joy watching him do so. I want to thank Lego for always being a great way to entertain my children so thoroughly. Well-meaning and thought-out and just plain FUN. Like I said, Its Lego, what else do you need to know? It sells itself.

> 3 dayLego and Star Wars have joined to make a great building kit. Children can build the TIE fighter and actually put included minifigure of Major Vonreg in the cockpit. There are two spring-loaded shooters that can be fired by moving the trigger. This kit also includes General Leai, Kaz Xiono, Major Vonreg , plus the droid, Bucket, It is a great gift for any child ages 8 and up. This kit is really awesome.

> 3 dayPros: 1) Very sturdy once assembled; nothing falls off easily. 2) Clever action mechanisms (firing missiles, etc) 3) Relatively large and attractive 4) Generous helping of action figures included. Mixed: The wings are large and utterly symmetrical, meaning an assembler will be performing the same basic tasks repeatedly. This can be dull for some builders (adults) but the reassuring repetition may help kids gain confidence and skill in putting together a moderately complex model. My ten year old put the whole thing together on his own, and he felt the repetition made things easier and boosted his confidence. Cons: None to speak of really - good value for the money, and obviously for Star Wars fans only!
