Greater than one weekFor the life of me, I cant remember this vehicle in any of the later Star Wars movies. Regardless, if you are a Legos fan, this is a great set. If you are a Star Wars fan, this is a great set. If you are both... this is a great set! New characters and an awesome flyer!

> 3 dayAmong the TIE Fighters in the LEGO fleet, this version is exceptionally well engineered. This set is from the relatively smaller scale Resistance show/series, so I almost didn’t buy it, but I’m glad I did! There are several novel build features which aren’t found in the other TIE fighters - great upgrades to make this a little more fun to build. The wing attachment (Especially this) and the canon trigger are nice upgrades to the other TIE designs. Major Vonreg is an awesome character (although now somewhat diluted by the advent of the red Sith Troopers), and Bucket is a unique addition in the astromech droid line-up (rather than simple repaints of the R2 chassis). I bought this for my son to add to his collection, since the dramatic look really caught his attention, but after building it, I had to order another for my own display collection!

> 3 dayNot particularly challenging, but the end product is well worth it. Unmistakable TIE fighter design speaks to the heart of all Star Wars fans. Nothing stands out during the build process. Everything was straightforward and reasonable, but when everything came together, it really is an impressive Lego set.

> 3 dayThis is a great build, I hope they make this again for the original interceptor version from the original trilogy. I do admit that I only thought of buying this only when the price dropped

08-06-2025LEGOs Major Vonregs TIE Fighter set is an enjoyable build, but since you have to make 4 identical wings, youll be doing the same thing four times over. I didnt mind, however, since the wings are ingeniously constructed and fun to assemble. The entire TIE Fighter is really thoughtfully assembled, in fact, and took me about an hour to leisurely construct. LEGO includes a brick remover tool and some extra pieces in the set. The instruction booklet is well illustrated and easy to follow. Once assembled the TIE Fighter is large in size at about 8 inches long from front-to-back and side-to-side. The cockpit of the Fighter opens up from the front and top to accommodate a mini-figure. Speaking of, 4 mini-figure are included with the set. There is Major Vanreg, he doesnt have a face, just a helmet. General Lea and Kaz Xiono who both have two faces to choose from, and Bucket (R1-J5) the adorable droid. Each of the human mini-figures also includes a small pistol. Speaking of things shooting, the TIE Fighter has two missiles that it launches from below the cockpit. The missiles are released by flicking a switch on the top rear of the TIE Fighter. The missiles shoot with some force so they travel a good distance. All in all... a great Star Wars LEGO set.

> 3 dayMy nephew likes this set a lot, especially the cool minifigures. He says his only gripe is that he wishes that the wings on the TIE fighter could flap.
