The specs are good, but this laptop does not live up to them. Theres something wrong with the motherboard, or the CPU has been underclocked, or something crazy. Looking at Resource Monitor and other monitoring software, the bus speed is stuck at the same speed, and the CPU max frequency is 60-70%, even though the actual usage is low. I only knew there was something wrong after the return window was closed. To be clear, this is NOT Amazons fault. Lenovo customer service is difficult to deal with, especially since they dont all speak fluid English. If I can somehow get money for this crap laptop, Im going to buy an HP or something.

I bought this laptop for my dad (as his first laptop). While he isnt completely computer illiterate, this would be the first computer he has ever owned. A few things that I like about this laptop:

Not sure Id pay more than $450 for this laptop under its current configuration. Lenovo makes a solid well-built device but I think based on these specs this particular laptop is a bit on the expensive side. It may simply be due to the shortage of mid to low level laptops on the market is driving up the price.

When I bought the laptop I wasnt familiar with AMD processors, but after buying this computer i dont wanna go back to intel! The perfomance is amazing, be it because of the SSD, the ram or the processor, this laptop runs most things like a charm! apps load quickly and smoothly, battery life is also good if not doing intensive tasks, and it runs demanding games like genshin impact very fluidly (altought on low settings). Definitely the best purchase Ive made through Amazon, absolutely recommended if youre looking for a laptop on this price range

The with the top edging slanted inward towards the bottom it is awkward to open for use. A left and right bar at the bottom of the touchpad would be handy. It was very useful on my old laptop.

Crashes way too often for a brand new machine. I wouldnt recommend anyone purchase it.

I bought mine at Microcenter. Ive had it for 4 months and it decided to stop charging. I took it to Microcenter to get it fixed and it worked for a couple of weeks but stopped charging again. I went to Microcenter and they said they cant refund it. I contacted Lenovo and they wont refund it either. Save your money and get something better quality!
