It works with sata cable hooked directly to motherboard but does not work with a sata to usb3.1 conversion adapter so it must be hard wired into the computer case and cannot be used as a temporary drive like i had planned. However it works fine no other complaints

Both drives worked well. Installed in a couple minutes. But NERO is junk not worth anything. Keeps wanting me to buy software online. Uninstalled software but took 4 attempts before it was actually uninstalled. Would buy drives again but without software.

Very easy install and works w/o any flaw.

The only part I found frustrating was that the first one came defective. Luckily the replacement is currently still working after some months. The disc formats supported are exactly what I need for watching my videos and installing my games, including formats that most dont use but I have been using in some cases. The disc that comes with it is junk, though.

Nicely made drive, does its thing with no problems. If you have a spare SATA cable on hand, save a couple of bucks and just buy the bare drive.

Mainly bought due to the free software. Software was actually a free trial. When I finally got around to installing the drive, it didnt work, and the software is no good.

The DVD burner arrived on time. Easy to install and works great. I would purchase this item again.
