The drive and provided accessories are good. The reason this got a 3 star rating is the bundled software. The description does not state that the bundled Nero 12 Essentials is a 30 day trail version. I was expecting an OEM version, not a trial version.

Saved my production. I was having problems with DVDs that were constantly defectives and was afraid to save my critical data on them. I tried several software and procedures to no avail. I finally replaced my aging CD/DVD drive and with the Nero 12 softwware, voila!!!! I have not had any problems in my DVD productions whatsoever...

The DVD drive works perfectly and the cables were long enough to reach the furtherest connection in my large computer chassis. I very pleased with the purchase. The Nero Essentials turns out to be not so essential as there are better public domain freeware products. The drive was packaged well and arrived without any problems. Shipping was fast.

The only part I found frustrating was that the first one came defective. Luckily the replacement is currently still working after some months. The disc formats supported are exactly what I need for watching my videos and installing my games, including formats that most dont use but I have been using in some cases. The disc that comes with it is junk, though.

Excellent Quality

It works with sata cable hooked directly to motherboard but does not work with a sata to usb3.1 conversion adapter so it must be hard wired into the computer case and cannot be used as a temporary drive like i had planned. However it works fine no other complaints
