> 3 dayCat Genie is wonderful. The refills make it easy to keep the area clean and clear up after your cat(s) use the litter box. No nasty smell with the Litter Genie!

> 3 dayThe plastic ring that you have to remove (Why???) is always difficult to remove for my wife and I. It tends to snap half way through removing. Why do you need to even remove anything anyway? Very wasteful needing to remove a plastic ring that serves no purpose when the product is in use.

> 3 dayPrior to buying the Litter Genie Cat Litter Disposal System my wife and I resorted to saving plastic bags and eventually buying them by the roll. What we hated was how we had to immediately take the garbage out or somehow the next morning the whole house would stink no matter how tight we tied the bag. With the Little Genie, we simply scoop the litter into the Genie. When it fills (usually about 1-1.5 weeks) we simply open the case, pull some slack, use the built in cutter, tie a knot and take it out. Then we tie one more knot and its good to go for another week. We just added this to our subscribe and save so will be getting these automatically going forward.

18-11-2024These litter genie refills definitely work as planned. Super easy to peel off the plastic tab, tie a knot on the bottom and pop in the genie and you’re ready to scoop. Plastic is durable so the litter stays contained and never rips open. Before my litter genie, I had to search for plastic grocery bags that didn’t have holes.... not an easy task anymore.

Greater than one weekThese things are freaking awesome. Now that I’ve been using them I don’t know how I lived without them. They make dealing with litter so much easier. I have one Sphinx cat and this type eats more than a regular cat. It’s been 6 weeks since I got this litter genie and I’m still on my first bag cartridge. It also hides the smell completely. Buy this thing, it’s a good investment that you will use everyday and works great.......!!!

> 3 dayI have had my cat/buddy, Toby since shortly after my husband passed away last year and I downsized. I had also experienced probably the worst thing that can happen to you after a knee replacement(wont go into details, but think someone put an IED into my leg). Because of that and the fact that although my unit is on the first floor, I need to walk up ten steps, so needless to say I cant take out my garbage. For a couple of months I cleaned out the litter into a plastic bag that went into the garbage, but there was a smell that I just could not take. I looked at the automatic litter cleaners, but reviews were mixed and I didnt want Toby getting caught in a moving rake thing. I figured I would give this a try. Havent they had something like this for diapers for years? At first I thought it was no big deal, you scoop the clumps into the hopper and pull the spring door out the clumps drop and the spring door snaps back into place. After I started using it, there was an improvement in the smell of the garbage. My daughter comes a couple times a week to empty garbage but it takes longer than even two weeks to fill if you shake contents down. She wasnt able to get over when it was full so I went back to the plastic bags. I use a rollator so I would put the bag onto the tray scoop and bring the clumps up to tray height to deposit the clumps. Well, this became a disaster of sorts when the clumps fell towered the outer side of the bag and flipped the bag over, sending the clumps to the floor where they broke up. I realized that the height of this receptical is perfect and the clumps cant fall out. When the receptical is full, you just pull the bag out of the cartridge enough to cut it and tie it off. Then you just pull the plastic material out of the cartridge and tie it off the you are ready to go. It takes quite a long period of time with one cat and there is absolutely no odor. You just buy the receptacle and it comes with a beginner cartridge with the plastic material. Each regular cartridge lasts a good amount of time. I have been using this for about a year and I like the convenience and no odor!

Greater than one weekOther than the fact that we had to go on-line to find out how to first use the bags with the Litter Genie Plus, that product with a replacement pack constitutes a good system. This replacement pack fits both the Litter Genie & Litter Genie Plus. The pack is actually one long tube of litter bag type of material that is tied off to create a bag, and later cut whenever you want to discard some cat feces. Then more is pulled down and re-tied, with that process being repeated until the entire package is empty. When starting a new replacement pack you should handle the material very gently after breaking the tab. I use the Genie mainly for feces, only occasionally including clumped litter. Sometimes you have to jiggle the Litter Genie container or push the cat feces down with the scooper while holding the movable tray out, but other than that, it couldnt be easier, and there is virtually no odor when the Litter Genie/Plus is closed. I keep a spare refill pack on hand for convenience. Granted the price has gone up, and it really could be a little cheaper, but still, I prefer the convenience of the pack to attempts to hack the system by trying to use large garbage bags, because the Litter Genie refill packs are strong enough, and with one cat (Chloe) lasts us for weeks.
