    * Most companies block softwares but the memory is internal hardware so I programmed the buttons at home and it still works at work. Big plus!* A bit smaller than previous mouse. The material does not feel cheap. Scroll wheel works great and is very smooth. The resolution is adjustable and I have it 1500 dpi and the cursor moves a lot more accurately. Buttons are programmable, but you need to find the right Logitech software which was not easy. No instruction came with the mouse and many links on their web site dont work anymore. I spent more than 30 min. Great mouse but lousy software/support.

I first purchased this mouse in April of 2017 and I loved it. At the time it was the best mouse that Ive ever owned. The software was easy to download and install which allowed me to customize the lighting, adjust the DPI settings, and bind keys to the buttons. Once I had my settings in place I stored them onboard the mouse and never used the software again. Three and a half years later I have a new computer and my mouse if finally starting to wear out. (The mouse itself is a wonderful product) Naturally I ordered another one. When it arrived and I went to the Logitech website to download the new software-which would allow me to adjust the DPI, change the color scheme, and rebind the keys- the G hub software would not detect the Logitech product. I made sure that the drivers were up to date through windows and through the software folder (which at one point actually contained drivers according to older videos of how to fix this problem on Youtube) The drivers were not the problem. Ive gone through numerous trouble shooting tips and under no circumstances will the G hub software detect the mouse, nor is there any way to get drivers through the Logitech site. The software was updated to the latest version and still nothing works. Its sad. I love this mouse, its the only one Ive ever used that was comfortable for my small hands and had just enough keys for me to do the things that I need to do in games, and its no longer a viable option for me because the software that supports it is so bloated and useless. EDIT: I finally got the right software to work. The Logitech Gaming Software is the only software in the software maze on the Logitech site that will actually work with this mouse. Not only that, but the current version-which states that it is compatible with Windows 10-will give you a message saying otherwise when you try to install it. So not only do you have to navigate the Logitech maze of software packages *(Many of them claiming to work with their mouse products, while in fact not working) you will also have to use an older version of the Logitech gaming software to actually be able to customize your mouse functions.

After a little over a month, the scroll wheel has certainly become annoying. Its stiff, like it doesnt want to move. It moves, you just have to really try.

I have come to the ironic conclusion that this mouse is not the best for gaming, but good for everything else. The mouse software is not the most reliable, and will sometimes switch profiles in the middle of games which is very frustrating. It happens rarely, but enough to be a recurring annoyance. I have one of these at my work office too. As a graphic designer, being able to map six additional buttons to Adobe tools has seriously improved my workflow. Its very comfortable to use all day, and well-built with sturdy hardware. It has only a bit of the gamer aesthetic, so I am not too embarrassed to have it at work. The mouse software doesnt crash and switch profiles while Im at work. As my work computer has more RAM, I suspect that on my home gaming setup, the Logitech software gets force closed during resource intense games.

EDITED Review Initial Impressions on unboxing were that this mouse had lots of nice features in the form of its many programmable keys & colors, but also that it was an ergonomic nightmare. The G300 is the size of a travel mouse. Unless this is for a child, or individual with Tiny and Delicate hands - Just Pass on the G300. Now, after using this mouse for a couple of weeks, I am having wrist and elbow discomfort that Ive NEVER experienced from a mouse before. The G300 small size is a Big Deal, since you cannot comfortably rest your palm on the mouse. To use the mouse requires resting the heel of your hand on the mouse pad, with wrist angled upward, so that arched fingertips can use the buttons. If I rest my palm on the mouse, my fingers overhang the end and are on the cord and mouse pad. YES, the Logitech G300 is that small. Even using an elevated wrist rest does little to improve the situation. Keep reading.... To add insult to injury, the RGB colors WILL NOT SAVE in the Logitech Gaming Software. Despite saving the profile, each time you reboot, the mouse reverts back to original colors. Custom programmed buttons do just fine, but the LGS software is bugged regarding the RGB save - just sad. In my case, this was money wasted on an inferior product - YMMV. Other Thoughts - While this Logitech G300 mouse is Sold & Shipped by Amazon, Take a moment to read the Legal Disclaimer under Important Information on the Sales page right before Q&A and Reviews. The Legal Disclaimer is hilarious due to being so poorly written. The grammar and irrelevant content is everything weve come to expect from non-English speakers selling on E*Bay. blah blah blah feed my children, blah blah lose jobs, blah crimes against persons, and finally PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM ME - LOL City !!!

The G300s is my first gaming mouse. Until now I had been using a Logitech M510 wireless. I have large hands, so for me, the M510 was a more comfy fit, as its a tad longer than the G300s. However, the G300s is still pretty comfortable and features a symmetrical build, so that it would also suit lefties. The software is easy to use. The LEDs are cool. The scroll wheel is a little on the small side, so it can take some getting used to for bigger handed folks. Theres no squeak whatsoever to the wheel though, and its rubber coated and feels good. The USB cable is pretty thin and flimsy, however, it is nice and long, 6 ft or so I reckon. So I was happy that I didnt have to re-position my case from being on my left side. The gaming buttons are nice. Im glad I can finally use my mouse for my mic button rather than half to stop and hit a keyboard key while in game. So far the response time does seem significantly quicker than with the wireless mouse I was using before. I recommend using this mouse with a mouse pad, which will be my next purchase. It does seem a bit friction-y on my bare wood desk. The left and right click buttons both feature that nice click feeling that Im familiar with having used logitechs before. All-in-all, for under 30 bucks, this is a great budget gaming mouse. UPDATE: Ive since purchased a Redragon mousepad, and must say, the mouse works and feels great on a mouse pad. And after a couple months of heavy use, everything is working wonderfully. No squeaking of the mouse wheel, and the click buttons and programmable buttons still work like new

I originally ordered one of these years ago to have on hand for my PS4/whatever, as it was cheap enough to not worry if it broke. However it quickly replaced my main mice solely for the phenomenal placement of the macro buttons. Software can be clunky but is otherwise set and forget. Lightweight, ergonomic, affordable, it just works!

So as a lefty most ergonomic mice fall into the extra buttons are in exactly the wrong place so my thumb hits them accidentally while using or has no extra buttons. Ive had this for a month or so now and while gaming is far from my greatest concern its fine for the games I do play, has extra buttons that are placed where they arent annoying and I can turn the LED off. I havent dived that deep into programming the buttons yet but some videos have shown this to be a fairly simple process once I do get around to it. Long story short for the $20 I paid for it well worth the coin and Im thinking about grabbing maybe one or a few more.

This is my 2nd one bought, the first one lasted about 2-1/2 years and then buttons wore out. The wheel on this new one turns a bit rough but Im hoping to get used to it rather than return it. I hate to support Logitech because I find their immodest advertising offensive but its a reasonably priced lefty mouse with buttons on top you can hit with the index finger.
