So I had some bad luck with switches in the past on previous wireless logitech mice that were compatible with Powerplay, but I have not had this issue with the G502 Lightspeed. So I use the mouse with Powerplay and I use a Steelseries HD mousepad with it, and the mouse charges PERFECTLY fine through it. Hell I only have 1/4 of my mouse pad on top of the powerplay and it still charges. Its lighter than a G502, you notice it, and its more responsive on the click IMO, even for a new mouse it feels great. Not sure if there is a new switch in there but it feels different than the previous wired G502s Ive owned ( had two ) The issue I have is lift height. In previous logitech mice, they used the old software and could calibrate a mouse tracking surface and save that preset, this would help with accidental bad tracking from lifting the mouse. You dont have this option with the lightspeed so when you slightly lift up on said light mouse, you get some really erratic and quick tracking especially if you use a higher DPI for something like a shooter. Id say get the mouse if you are a large mouse pad user or using the powerplay with enough space, since you wont be lifting as much IMO because you have the space to maneuver, but if you have a limited space/small mouse pad you might have to use the included weights or try and retrain yourself to not lift your mouse as much / adjust DPI to account for the bad lift tracking. Otherwise the mouse charges flawlessly on Powerplay, through a second hand mouse pad, all while being as good as it gets for gaming mice.

The Logitech G502 Lightspeed is a natural improvement to its predecessors, but is also a downgrade in a number of ways. Most notably the fact that the mouse does NOT get a great battery life, necessitating an extra purchase for the mat charger for those who dont want to deal with the hassle of charging it on a regular basis. Ive run into a number of issues with the software required to get the most out of the mouse. When the mouse is idle, it will change into a low-power state. When it comes out of that state, it will default to a different DPI than I have set. After a moment the software will then override the default profile. Nothing I can do seems to make both profiles the same. One can use the onboard profile to get around this, allowing for the mouse to have the same settings, but this complicates things as now youre using a singular profile. Youre reducing the promised functionality to get over an issue that should be much easier to resolve. Having used this mouse for a while, I am relegating it to my extra computer in favor of the MX Master 3S which has proven to be more comfortable for both general use AND gaming. If youre not looking for on-the-fly DPI switching or extra buttons, its the superior mouse for certain. Its unfortunate that I have had these issues with the mouse as its actually quite comfortable.

The mouse feels in the hand really well, although I havent tried other mice in the same category and price range. The only downside is the software experience. The Logitech software lacks customization and you have to google and learn how to avoid the fact that every mouse and keyboard (yes, it adds a virtual keyboard in the device admin console) on your list of devices can turn on your PC. Otherwise, you put your PC to sleep for example, and anything, any small bump to your table makes the mouse wake up the computer. It also takes some configuration to make something as simple as stopping the mouse from glowing when you have the PC turned off. I sleep next to my PC and it can light up the whole room. To me, even if the mouse feels amazing, it has incredible battery life and good latency, the fact that it costs like 80 bucks (on sale), and the software at this point, many years after the original launch stills have that many bugs, even though people have been complaining about them for years, is incredible. Only buy it if you cant find another mouse that feels great for the same price. I cant recommend a brand like Logitech if they launch an expensive mouse like this one and it takes years to fix common software issues. I have a keyboard from them, and is the same thing, too expensive while having a software issue that is a game changer for me. Im avoiding Logitech from now on, as a daily driver of two 100+ peripherals from them.

My only complaint is the fact this is still running a usb micro b. But the new model they have released has usb c. So take that into consideration when buying. It may not hold up as long, only time will tell. Feels great in the hand with custom weights and scroll settings. Id recommend.

I have been using this mouse for quite some time now, so much so that I dont think I could go back to any other mouse. When I first got this mouse I opted to use it wireless because that was my main way of using peripherals. But this mouse simply doesnt hold a charge for long. After only one day of using it, it would constantly prompt me to charge it, over and over again. It got to the point where I just gave up and now have it hard wired to the computer, a feature that would have saved me 100 bucks if I just bought the wired version of this mouse. Overall, I would recommend this mouse, but only the wired version unless you really love charging things.

The mouse is a bit small if you have XL hands, were it just 25% larger it would be nearly perfect.

Mouse is a perfect successor to the wired 502, and the pad works flawlessly with it. Only gripe is that the edge of the pad is high and rough, can be irritating, and if theres a revision it could use a little bit of a taper. Great otherwise.

I liked the feel of it. It has nice weight when adding the optional weights supplied. Nice look with the LED color changing. Nice curve and works with large hands. I dislike that the mouse jitters and will frequently move too far when Ive stopped the mouse and the cursor continues for a short period of time. I believe it is drivers. The software that took time to find on Logitechs web site has some sort of install for additional software that I didnt need. I tried to find the drivers, but couldnt without going to a third-party site. I cant do that for work. I opened up a support ticket with Logitech but they declined to supply me with a link for the drivers. I broke down and installed their software. Unfortunately, it did not install with an error message. At this point, I think I figured out that the wireless keyboard I have (Logitech as well) was probably the issue. It didnt jitter as much with the keyboard wireless USB dongle disconnected. But I also suspect lack of drivers contributing to the issue. Will not buy again until Logitech allows drivers to be retrieved without downloading additional software which I do not need and Im not allowed to install on my work laptop. If you have plenty of time to troubleshoot and are patient with support tickets and dont have other wireless devices, then this is a good product. Unfortunately for me, this is not a good product. It is a shame because most of my other products from Logitech are very well built and worked well. This one has not.

Due to a listing error on Amazons part I ended paying $0 for this mouse. For its current price of $150, its hard to recommend. But I think at a discounted price under $100, its going to be a steal. First off I received the wired version of this initially. The wired version is very good, and I would suggest if this is out of your budget, just buy that one - the difference isnt that noticeable. However the wireless version does feel lighter and smoother and more responsive. Its probably the smoothest, silkiest mouse I have used to date. Even when I have it plugged in for recharging, the cable is hardly noticeable. I came from owning a G500s, which is a fine mouse, but this G502 is just better. The mouse feels more responsive and lighter than my previous one, and other than the mouse scroll wheel feeling a little cheap - its a near perfect mouse. PROS: ° Lightweight ° Very Responsive (16k Hero Sensor) ° Wireless ° Braided Cable ° Fast Charge ° 2 Year Warranty ° Super Smooth ° Battery Indicator ° DPI switch on the fly NEUTRAL: ° Mouse Wheel feels a little cheap sometimes (compared to my G500s which had a heftier feel to it) ° Sniper Button is awkward to use (you have to basically take a second to claw grip the button in order to use it to aim) ° G HUB Software (This has worked 100% perfect for me, but I have read many reviews stating its crashed games etc., Also for some reason I was able to use the old software for the wired version but not for the wireless version) ° RGB (Basically the logo and the indicator light up, thats it - nothing really special. I personally would have liked to see it underneath the mouse to give it a glow effect) ° Depending on the style of mouse and size of your hand, this mouse is more of a claw grip style than a relaxed style. I find this great for graphic design and gaming, but this is 100% dependant on your personal style. CONS: ° Battery is suppose to work for up to 48 hours with standard RGB. After several weeks of use (I work from home so I use my mouse sometimes up to 16 hours per day), I can say that this just isnt true. You will get 2 days or about 30 hours of heavy use with RGB, perhaps I could get closer to the 48 hours if I adjust the RGB luminance? I havent really tested it without the RGB on yet - so it may work wonderfully without RGB. Still its good, and since you can Turbo charge it in 5 minutes, this con may not be a con for most people. ° Uses mini usb for connection in 2019? If you are going to charge 50% more than the next competitor you should at least use the latest standards and not 10 year old standards. I seriously dont understand what they were thinking here. USB C would have made it so easy to plug in my mouse for charging. Now I have to turn on a light, and look at the mouse to make sure I am putting it in the correct way. The cable is tight and will click into place, something I was unaware of when I first started using the mouse and I thought my mouse wasnt charging because it fits snugly into place before the click happens. Overall a fantastic mouse at a price that is totally unreasonable. At $80 -$100, this is a great wireless mouse. At its current price it is just overpriced. Still worth it if money is not an option, or if you get lucky like me. UPDATE: After using the mouse for almost a month now there are a few other things worth mentioning. ° Gaming on FPS the mouse felt heavy, after adjust the balance by adding in weights to the back, it feels near perfect ° The mouse has 5 DPI settings but only 3 LED lights to indicate the settings ° The DPI buttons are a little large and awkward to use on the fly ° I havent had any issues with the mouse and no double clicking - Although I would say you should switch the mouse wheel to the click option when gaming, because its rather easy to accidentally spin the wheel at the most inopportune time. Final Update : After about 6 months of use, the mouse will start double clicking. At first it was minor and seemed to reset itself every time I unplugged the USB. After it got to the point it was impossible to actually do anything without double clicking 50% of the time, I finally contacted Logitech for a fix. After a week or two back and forth with Logitech representative they finally agreed that to replace the mouse - But in the mean time I told them that it usually take about 36 + hours for the issue to kick in (originally it did, now its about 1 minute before it starts to double clicking after resetting the dongle), so their response to that was I should install the mouse on a 2nd computer and see if it did the same thing on that computer. I refused because I am not going to leave my laptop running for 36 hours and my desktop with no mouse at all - just to see if the issue may be my computer - FYI Ive been in IT for over 20 years, its not my computer. So i reinstalled everything, and it went right back to the issue. Then they told me they would need me to record a video of me using the mouse on a website that registered double clicks - supposedly because even though theres 100s of people online with the same exact issue - they didnt believe me. I told them nope, not doing that. I already spent hours (literally 3+ hours) dealing with this broken POS - It appears they just want to try and discourage you as best as possible from returning the broken mouse. Instead of sending me a new replacement immediately (Like Amazon did), I now have to wait 2 to 3 weeks for my replacement, in the meantime I have no mouse so I was forced to purchase a back up mouse which means I dont have the right type of mouse for the work that I do or the games I play - so looks like I wont be playing any games for the next month and work is just hell now dealing with the cheap mouse replacement. So the mouse was fantastic while it worked, but for $150 + cost of backup 2nd mouse + 3 hours time to deal with customer service + loss of productivity etc.. I figure that this mouse cost me upwards of $350 just in time etc.. I can no longer recommend this to anyone. If you do buy this, dont wait until the return period is up on Amazon to return it. Return it the first time you have a problem, and dont sell your old mouse - you are going to need it in the future.

I bought this almost two years back and it has been great so far. It is good for gaming and for office work. It is easy to change the dpi (dots per inch) as you change your task. The Logitech G Hub, the software the comes with it to customize this mouse is whole another shit show. The ding in the rating is primarily due to that. The software is flaky, it wont load if my company VPN is on. Configuring buttons on the mouse to perform an action requires special education! Seriously Logitech? Overall it is a descent mouse. If you find it for a price range of 60 to 80 you should get it. Cheers!
