> 3 dayDisclaimer: I had the wired G502 for 3 years before I decided I was sick of wires, but that should tell you I already knew going in this was the mouse I wanted to take with me to grave and have zero experience with other gaming mouse. Also, I use this with a Macbook Pro. EDIT: Switched my rating down from 5 to 4 stars because G Hub is not, in fact, as marvelous as I thought. Ive been encountering a strange issue on my Macbook Pro Mid-2012 model running Catalina, connected to an external monitor. If my macbook goes to sleep with the USB and the monitor plugged in, G Hub refuses to recognize my device when I wake the laptop. I can left and right click, but the programmable buttons revert to their defaults temporarily. The issue is resolved if I unplug either the mouse or the monitor before the laptop sleeps, but for a $150 mouse I expect nothing short of perfection, and this is a little annoying. EDIT 2: I have managed to consistently avoid the issue mentioned above by turning the mouse off before my laptop goes to sleep. I would rather I not have to but it is an excellent product in every other regard so like whatever at this point. Also, the battery on this thing is ridiculous Ive been using it for 4 days and it just dropped 16%. Im honestly glad I didnt get the powerplay mousepad Im unlikely to find it necessary at this rate. Good work Logitech! Edit 3: Apparently the G Hub issue is a lot more common than I thought smh Pros • Zero noticeable latency relative to the wired counterpart. Absolutely none its mind-blowing how good these are • Very ergonomic, I use it for hours on end without fatigue • More shortcuts through the programmable buttons + multiple profiles than youll know what to do with. Its nice to know I have always have the option of switching out a CMD+S with a mouse click if I wanted to, although I probably never will. • Excellent battery life, I could have done with 24 hours too since I charge everything else everyday anyway lol but the rated 48-60 is ridiculous and much appreciated. • The packaging is superb, I honestly felt like they put effort into designing it and making sure the customer feels special while opening it. Almost like an Apple product. • The plug n play nature is fantastic. I plugged the USB receiver in and bam, mouse works! No need to ever open G Hub if all you want to do is left click and right click (although if youre spending $150 on a mouse I should hope you intend to do more than that). The DPI out of the box was quite slow for my taste but all it takes is a couple of clicks to fix it. • I love G Hub, there seems to be a fair amount of hate for it in the community but the UI is fantastic (the UX is more of a con, listed below) and the number of options is mind-blowing. I love personalization, and I love being able to make the mouse completely my own, tailored to my work/gaming needs. I use it more for work funnily enough, it is fantastic from a productivity standpoint. • There is an option to add weights if you think its too light, once again love the configurability. • Powerplay compatibility means if I want to shell out another $100 (and sadly I likely will) then I can use the mouse forever without having to ever charge it. Its a definite luxury not a necessity, so I appreciate them giving us the option. Cons • Only for right-handed, they dont make a left-handed version • I managed to chip it a little on the inside while trying to remove the cover, it should be slightly more resistant • I dont like having to read the manual for G Hub, I prefer that such software be intuitive enough a layman could figure it out. Im a software engineer and still took a while to figure out how to use multiple profiles while not in onboard mode • The G4 button is ridiculously uncomfortable to get to, Im not even sure why its there except to boost the number of programmable buttons lol. I would have preferred a button on the right I could push with my pinky. • The elephant in the room, I could probably have gotten similar performance out of a $50 mouse nowadays so $150 is pricey for sure, but for the plethora of button shortcuts available and the sheer joy of knowing it is absolutely perfect in every way is perhaps worth it. • The G logo is hidden by the hand most of the times so I would have preferred there to be RGB effects elsewhere on the mouse as well, but eh. • The stepwise scroll wheel feels really wonky to me, I always use infinite. Perhaps because Im on a Macbook idk • Its only available in black, which is not a deal breaker obviously since it delivers in most other ways but continuing the trend of configurability I would have liked to see some color options, perhaps even engravings on request. I dont ever intend to sell it to another soul, so why the heck not :D

> 3 dayWhen the G903 came out, I was pretty stoked. Lots of new technology and promise all packed into one platform, and great reviews. It turns out that no matter how good a mouse is, one compromise can turn it into a nightmare. It also turns out that if you put switches into a mouse that quickly start double-firing is pretty bad too, but I digress. The compromise that ruined the G903 for me was making it ambidextrous. What? you say, thats not a bad thing! Well, I reply, take your hands, and lay them on a flat surface in front of you, and relax. What do you feel? Unless you are not built like most, youll find that the weight of your hand rests more on one side of your palm; Left side for the left, and right side for the right. So, when you make a mouse ambidextrous, you make a mouse with a symmetric profile. It didnt take long before I realized that I wasnt going to be able to keep my hand on the mouse in a gaming hold for very long before cramps started in. It was like having someone twist my wrist. So, despite the great stuff they put into this thing, it would have been infinitely better to create a left and right handed version. Enter the revamped G502! My corded version of this mouse is still in use in my household more than a decade after I first bought it, but Im looking for a wireless mouse for reasons I need not go into. I can say now that they seem to have brought all the good stuff from the G903 to the G502 Hero Lightspeed. The wheel that used to bug me because it was so stiff on the first G502 now feels much more like the G903. Its even a bit easier to spin and side-click. The DPI buttons (which are still in an awkward place, which is why its still just near perfection) are no longer mushy, so thats a plus, and of course its wireless, has the updated sensors, will work on my Lightspeed mat, and, just for the shiny factor, had a full RGB logo. The parts that made this mouse the most popular gaming mouse (Logitech IMHO EVER made) are still there. So, when, my gamer friends, you are trying to pick between the two, let me urge you to save yourself what may be a hundred dollar mistake, and pass the G903 over for the reliable old G502 form with the new G903 technology built in. Youll thank me later.

> 3 dayMy only complaint is the fact this is still running a usb micro b. But the new model they have released has usb c. So take that into consideration when buying. It may not hold up as long, only time will tell. Feels great in the hand with custom weights and scroll settings. Id recommend.

> 3 dayIf using in conjunction with Logitechs Poweplay charging pad you have to sacrifice the inluded 4gram weights to fit the charging puck. Would have been nice to know this beforehand and with some additional design thought on Logitechs part this limitation could have been avoided. I like a heavier mouse so that was a bummer for me. Scroll wheel feels looser and cheaper than G502 gen 1 mouse I replaced this with and noticably rattles moreso than gen 1 mouse when the clutch is disengaged. Same complaint I have with G502 Hero wired gen 2 mouse I also own. When clutch is disengaged you can marvel at how your web browsers or some games scroll function will start going crazy at random times unless you re-engage the clutch again. Minor complaint since the free scroll wheel feature is why I have three of these mice, but its noticably worse on gen 2+ models. LED logo on mouse is neat, but pointless since you only see it when your not using it. For those of you who want a mouse with led bling, this aint the mouse for you. No change on this from gen to gen. Powerplay pad has the same light up logo that can sync to same color pattern using GHub software. Would have been nice for the pad to have LED around the base like Razr does especially for the price. Wireless charging of the mouse with Powerplay pad works great, so very happy in that regard. My favorite feature is the mouse DPI response time. If you need lightning fast movement, this is the mouse for you! My lord its responsive at high DPI settings. Its unusuable at max settings in my opinion, but some people out there will probably love it. Its even better that its wireless so no more snags on the cord when playing FPS! Overall really love the mouse and highly recommend even with its flaws and quirks.

> 3 dayRechargeable is great. Superfast draining if you use ANY RGB is not. Bought this to replace my Razer Bailisk after 4 G602s. It is much better than the wireless Basilisk. Not the improvement youd expect for 3 times the price of a G602. The most improved is the toggleable scroll wheel. Other than that, the construction seems slightly flimsy when compared to my venerable G602. Its a good mouse, especially if you can stick with the wired version when on sale.

> 3 dayThe last two g502s my partner got fell victim to our puppies. He finally agreed to get a wireless mouse even though there can be some lag. Hopefully its nothing too noticeable to him. He loves the button set up of this mouse :)

> 3 daySo I have the wired version of this mouse which I loved but all the wires were really starting to be a hassle so I switched to this. First day getting the mouse the left click feels a little stiff like something isnt clicking smoothly. Now so far its working anytime I use it, theres been no impact on preformance but from people saying the mouse buttons are known to fail it does worry me. Thankfully I got a extra warranty just in case and Ill update this if it completely fails or gets so bad its too annoying to use but at this point in time its just a slight annoyance for a mouse that works perfectly in every other way. Also the instructions arent very clear I had to go online to get proper information. Wasnt very hard at that point to figure it out which is why I didnt take two stars away. But Id definitely give this mouse a shot if youre willing to take the chance you might have to replace it for a non faulty one

Greater than one weekThe mouse is a bit small if you have XL hands, were it just 25% larger it would be nearly perfect.

Greater than one weekThe ONLY reason for 2 stars is because Logitech FORCES you to use G Hub with the Lightspeed. 3 stars for gaming because I do interact with the software throughout playing to fine tune the mouse. LOVE the G502 LS itself! Gamed 6 hours every night (with all lights on and at max), after 3 nights battery was low but still not even at the warning limit (last 15%). Also love the free moving scroll wheel that goes on forever, incredibly helpful when going through pages of documents or scrolling through web sites. I love the number of buttons and button layout. However, the mouse is ONLY compatible with newer G Hub software, not like the Proteus Spectrum that uses Logitech Gaming Software (LGS), and G Hub is SOOOOOO bad, it truly boggles the mind how something so bad can STILL to this day be used... forced on customers when any moron can tell how bad the layout and functions of the software are. Completely unintuitive UI. Needless going from one end of the menu to the other trying to simply turn something on then off. Confusing menu layout. Confusing instructions. More complicated key binding menu (than LGS). Bug since the day G Hub came out where attaching an app/game exe to a profile will NOT trigger the profile when you run the app/game, and if you manually switch to the game profile you want (while in G Hub) it doesnt matter because as soon as your mouse pointer leaves the G Hub window itll go back to the Desktop/Default profile (this includes Alt-Tabbing), the only way to bypass this is to set the profile you want to use as persistent, but then you have to manually turn it off when you exit the game/app, ...and still TO THIS DAY theres no patch to this. The thing that really makes this worse is that now that you installed G Hub any other Logitech peripherals you have will be FORCED to use G Hub and not LGS that was SOOOO MUCH better, by miles, above G Hub. And when G Hub asks you to import profiles when installing G Hub, it doesnt import individual key bindings, lighting configuration, or per profile DPI settings. And if you try to run LGS just so you can bring up the key binding profile so you can at least see your mouse game profiles to copy, you getting a message that you have to use G Hub. It literally is enough to make you NOT want to get such a great mouse, just so you dont have to put up with such a badly designed piece of software. And dont think an update is on the horizon to fix even some of the problems, its been like this since day one of the G Hub release, and my understanding is future Logitech products will be using G Hub. So, unless you really have the money to burn AND you have the patience of a saint (truly), then think about sticking with another Logitech device that doesnt use G Hub like the Proteus Spectrum, same exact mouse but with a cord. I actually need cordless because my mouse pad sits on a pullout shelf under my PC desk so I cant even use a mouse cord bungie, and the cord is fraying up my mouse pad edges as well as feeling the cord pulling on the mouse. G Hub really, REALLY, makes me want to return the Lightspeed just so I didnt have to put up with it, but I DO need it because of the cordless aspect. Corsair has a mouse with a lot of buttons but theyre all in one little area and my thumbs are a little big so thats out of the question. Bottom line, Lightspeed comes with G Hub. Read up on what customers think of G Hub, ask a friend that uses it, ask a teacher, ask a friend online, ...then ask yourself if you have the patience of Mother Teresa, and make your decision. If you buy one, inquire about return policy beforehand, hold on to the packaging, the receipt, and keep it in mint condition, just in case you decide to hold on to your sanity instead of the Lightspeed.
