> 3 dayIm new to longboarding and Ive only had it for a week now but so far so good. At 220 pounds I was a bit worried about it holding my weight but it seems to be fine, no real flex in the board. A few skater friends said the bushings seemed a bit loose and when I tried to tighten them they popped out from under the washers, so I bought some yellow Nipple bushings and they seem to be fine. Ill update as I use the board more. Edit: 7/30/2017 Im down to 197 lbs and loving this board. Still keeping the 5 stars but its worth noting the trucks need to be tightened down a lot when you get it. I skated for a month before I realized my mistake and you can feel the difference. Also if the board gets wet youre going to need to re-tighten things when it dries.

> 3 dayLongtime skater, first time longboader. Just got this board and Ive had it out a few times already. Like others, I had to tighten the screws of the trucks to the board as well as tighten the kingpin. Lots of flex in the board and trucks which is perfect for carving, which is what I wanted it for. It has great response for carving. I may tighten it up a bit more though for more stability. Its not built for bombing hills and not advertised to do so. I will eventually get new wheels and bearings. The ones that come with it are good with the total cost of the board, but I want something a little smoother and to spin a little longer. Overall great board.

> 3 dayI have owned a half dozen longboards used to commute to school and work by board. I once worked for a skateshop and have tried many longboards. The Sector 9 Cosmic boards (flexy, fiberglass boards) have been my ride of choice for 15 years or so... until now. The Magneto is now my ride! I bought my son the 38.5 carving Magneto board. I tried it out and enjoyed it so much I bought the 42. While I like the 38.5, Id instead recommend the 42 because it is just as maneuverable, has small kick-tails, and has a better overall feel. Im a pretty big guy, my son is about 90 lbs, and my daughter is about 60 lbs. We all can ride the 38.5 or 42. Pros: - Great for carving! - Smooth ride. The flex in the fiberglass really reduces road vibration! - Stable. The lower center of gravity and the firm/slightly flexy surface makes for a secure feeling surface at high speeds. - Can handle tight turns (if you have the balance) - Nice look and hand-feel of the sanded grip. It also doesnt scrape up your clothes so much while carrying the board. I was not sure how I felt about not having grip tape... now I really like it! - Wheels, trucks, and bearings seem great to me. Im not going to bother replacing them as the gains would only be minor if any. - Strong. I can jump on the board without feeling like itll break. - The price is really reasonable for a premium quality board Cons - I would like a longer kicktail. I use the kicktail on tight turns or while turning while going slow. - It seems to get dings in it easier than my sons cheaper hardwood board. That said, I know they are all going to get beat up with use!

> 3 dayRides smooth like you’re on water. I’ve only gotten it up to about 35mph but was amazingly stable & would have been so at higher speed. All this considering it m 6’2” & 185 lbs & I like my trucks loose to carve the terrain. I love this board!

> 3 daySmooth. Great ride. Plenty of clearance for small rocks, but not ideal for seriously dirty roads. I recommend getting the 90mm VOLT wheels instead. These wheels have a VERY thin contact patch. If you want to use the wheels it comes with, maybe sand them down a bit. I dont know. The wheels are almost pointed and only like a pencil thick actually touches the ground. Otherwise, solid board. When I put the Bones Speed cream on the stock bearings, you could notice a difference. But then I replaced them with Bones Reds, and I didnt notice any change. So, lube them up nicely and you should be golden This board will ride right out of the box. But I do recommend the modifications I mentioned for anyone who is like a serious rider. For the average longboard user, this will be your favorite board right out of the box. For the advanced people, you should adjust accordingly.

> 3 dayAfter my trusty Sector 9 that I used for about 10 years was stolen I had to look for a replacement but I didn’t want to pay 200-300 for another sector 9 even though it was a great board. The first magneto board I received was defective. Very squeaky and even one layer started cracking all art on the first day of light riding. The customer support team was awesome and quickly let me return for a refund. When the board was back in stock again I ordered again and was very happy with the board. It looks amazing. Probably the coolest looking long board out there. It has the right amount of flex and is just a lot of fun to ride. The wheels and bearings that come standard are just ok but no problem at all for a casual rider like me. Overall great value for the money and a very good customer support team and experience.

> 3 dayIm new to skating, specifically cruising and I gotta say this board was easy for me to ride. I started off with a 27.5 mini cruiser and found it to be to small. im a 6ft 190lbs man so I needed something bigger and wider so I can feel more stable. I ordered the 38 by 9 magneto board and it was perfect. The Magneto packaging is good, nice and compact, and the board is pretty much ready for use right out the box. I did listen to a couple of reviews about checking all the bolts to make sure nothing is loose and had to tighten the trucks a little and the bushings (optional depending on how tight you like them). Other than that, the board is nice and easy to ride. PS: The quality of the bearings and wheels seem fine to me but I am a beginner and this is my first longboard so I dont really have much to compare. Update: 9/27/18 So ive had this board for about 2 weeks now and I learned a lot since then. I bought some new bearings (heady shake) and right away felt the difference. I also bought new wheels (bigfoot mountain cruisers) which are bigger and harder (76mm, 80a verses the stock 70mm, 78a) and it made the board faster and smoother. Now I can comfortably say that the stock bearings are decent and worth upgrading considering theyre cheap to buy. As for the wheels, if you want to ride faster, id recommend buying some bigger wheels that are a little harder. Still dont know enough to have a firm opinion about the trucks/bushings but they seem good to me.

> 3 dayAs in almost every other review, the trucks, wheels, and bearings are not very good. The deck, however, is FANTASTIC. Its beautiful, its strong and flexible, and it just feels great. Im 62 and 210lbs and this board holds up very well. Ollies, manuals, downhill...it takes a beating and holds up. The wide board is very comfortable on my long ass feet and the board length provides plenty of space for a wider stance. Im very happy with this board and would definitely purchase another deck from Magneto.
