Mail Boss 7508 Curbside Mail Manager Security, Bronze Locking Mailbox

So explain to me how I am to mount this without a template? Sure I see the holes, how do I know they are centered when I cannot see them? I used a sharpie to outline the holes that I cannot see, removed the mailbox and my holes were off. Back on and another sharpie to my blind holes... remove the 20lb mailbox and my holes are nearly good but still off. Again, put the box back on, outline the holes and now I have a mess of drill locations.. Why do you not include a 2 cent template? Update: Its been installed for about a week. Looks fantastic, performs well. Even the neighbors thought it was a Good Looking Mailbox. Just wish it came with a 2 cent template.

Mailbox needs more openings space for small packages. Would recommend it.

Pros: Heavy duty, box alone is well designed. Cons: Why put such a wimpy flag on a heavy box?? The clear plastic bottom that fits over bolts is not going to last, (gonna crack). Overview: This box is fairly heavy...that is great except when installing, (probably 2 people). The heavy 45 metal pole that you can buy extra, (for quite a bit of $), fits over a pressure treated 4x4 nicely and is a good investment. Suggest putting couple bags of Quikrete in a good deep hole as the weight of this thing will shift over time with some soils. I drilled 8-6 coated large lags bolts, 2 on each side, into the bottom wood part of 4x4 to keep pole from rotating and you dont need 2x4 braces while concrete is setting if you mixed your Quikcete not too watery. Im old dude, so this took me most of the day.

Theyve thought of all the perils of postal theft & addressed them! Really a well designed & beautifully constructed mail box. Came on time.

This is a sturdy box. It will hold a couple weeks worth of mail (less if youre letting all the catalogs and junk mail keep coming your way). It will hold very small packages like checkbox size or small soft pouch packages. Everyone gets black but why not be different? Bronze is nice. Still looks black unless its in bright sun. This isnt going to stop your determined thief with a battery powered cutter. But it will deter the opportunistic thief and less-than-vengeful vandals.

Our mailman told us this is the type of mailbox he likes best.
