Mail Boss 7508 Curbside Mail Manager Security, Bronze Locking Mailbox

I liked just about everything about it. The only thing is if there is a box that is to big; the mailman has to get out and place it on the porch. Still potential for theft.

This mailbox is sturdy and heavy! Our 4x4 post, which previously held a lightweight mailbox, was only set into the ground but, due to the weight of this box, we cemented the post in place prior to installing the new box. This box is replacing both our old box (where we received unimportant mail) AND our PO box (where we received checks, bills and ballots), as it costs less than our annual PO box rent and will save us the trip to town to collect mail.

Its a good mailbox, but it came with this piece of flimsy clear plastic inside that we thought was just part of the shipping material. By the time we got it out, it had split. Then we found a tiny slip of paper that said it was to help the mail to slide in from the slot. Which, if used, reduced the capacity to half. Also, it has a red flag on the side, which everyone knows tells the mail carrier that you have outgoing mail in the box for them to take. But obviously, since its a locked mailbox, that system doesnt work. Otherwise, we love it. It keeps our mail safe, and thats the point.

Great mailbox but too big for post.

I bought this from this seller, because they said next day delivery. Its late 2 days....not cool, I could have bought from someone else and received it sooner.

Easy instructions for multiple post types. Everything was included including the drill bit for the wooden post. Loved that it comes with 3 keys. The only thing I don’t like about it is that in order to send mail, you have to clip it inside the slot that anyone can access. So, it keeps incoming mail secure, but not outgoing mail. Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase and feels safer. I’d definitely buy it again.

After having our mail stolen, we purchased this locking mailbox. A very sturdy box & hopefully no more worries of stolen mail.

Great for our busy street. Would be better if the lock was on the back so you dont have to stand in the road.

So explain to me how I am to mount this without a template? Sure I see the holes, how do I know they are centered when I cannot see them? I used a sharpie to outline the holes that I cannot see, removed the mailbox and my holes were off. Back on and another sharpie to my blind holes... remove the 20lb mailbox and my holes are nearly good but still off. Again, put the box back on, outline the holes and now I have a mess of drill locations.. Why do you not include a 2 cent template? Update: Its been installed for about a week. Looks fantastic, performs well. Even the neighbors thought it was a Good Looking Mailbox. Just wish it came with a 2 cent template.
