Mail Boss 7508 Curbside Mail Manager Security, Bronze Locking Mailbox

This is a very nice and sturdy, secure mailbox. I used a 4x4 pressure treated timber on the inside of the post. I read that the chemical used to pressure treat the wood will rust the inside of the post, so I sprayed Rust-Oleum on the inside of the post to help protect it from rusting. My general contractor did a great job on the cement base for the mailbox. I was very disappointed that the screw thread in one of the screw holes in the post was stripped so the screw could not be taken out in order to attach the mailbox box to the post. I didnt discover this until the day before I was getting my mailbox installed. I wanted to return the post, but luckily, my general contractor was able to work his magic to attach the mailbox to the post securely, with 4 screws that are tightly adhered to the mailbox and post.

Great for our busy street. Would be better if the lock was on the back so you dont have to stand in the road.

We needed a locking mailbox because we gave up our PO box. This fits the bill. Easy to install, easy to use, and sturdy.

Decided that my mom needed a secure mailbox. Ordered one and installed with out much problem. Little bigger than she really needs.

Likes: pewter color, lock, sturdy. I had to have someone install it but it works like I had hoped.

Got a compliment from our mail carrier on this mailbox. Large enough for small packages or collecting several weeks worth of letters when out of town. Very sturdy and sleek - the metal post and box design look great compared to the 4x4 and flimsy mailbox. Bonus: Im pretty sure if someone tried breaking this with a baseball bat it would crack the bat.

Very well made mail box! If you want security of your mail dont pass this one up! Bigger than expected which is a plus ! Well worth the money.If you can afford it get the metal post that goes to this mailbox.but if not it looks just fine with a 4x4 mailbox post as well. Add a 2x6 base plate to post and its perfect fit. Concrete is pretty much a must because of the weight. Again this box is not a joke! I would say this mailbox would withstand a 22 rim fire bullet at point blank range! I would try it but it looks to good to mess up. Key is a secure key as well. Be very hard to pick if even possible. Had a problem with people stealing our mail because USPS forced us to put boxs on main road .said our road was to rough to come down. When I got this mailbox and installed it everybody asked me were to buy one and everybody got them now.thats how good these mailboxes are !

It’s a great mailbox until it rains because it gets my mail wet on the inside of it. Not waterproof at all. It’s a beast of a mailbox. It’s on the higher side price wise considering that it’s not waterproof. Something to consider.

Our mailman told us this is the type of mailbox he likes best.

This mailbox was installed on an existing metal pole. An out of control driver ran over the pole and mailbox in a Ford F150, bending the pole and breaking the bolts. The mailbox flew 15 feet, bounced off a car breaking the rear window, and landed another 20 feet away in the street. One edge of the door surround of the mailbox was bent, but after pulling that back into shape, we were able to reinstall the mailbox on the repaired pole. Not even the paint was severely damaged. This mailbox is extremely durable.
