I went ahead and purchased thinking my mailbox and neighbors selection came with reflective numbers and openings in the rear. Neither assumption is correct. I guess I wasnt very careful in my selection and assumptions.

This is a very nice and sturdy, secure mailbox. I used a 4x4 pressure treated timber on the inside of the post. I read that the chemical used to pressure treat the wood will rust the inside of the post, so I sprayed Rust-Oleum on the inside of the post to help protect it from rusting. My general contractor did a great job on the cement base for the mailbox. I was very disappointed that the screw thread in one of the screw holes in the post was stripped so the screw could not be taken out in order to attach the mailbox box to the post. I didnt discover this until the day before I was getting my mailbox installed. I wanted to return the post, but luckily, my general contractor was able to work his magic to attach the mailbox to the post securely, with 4 screws that are tightly adhered to the mailbox and post.

Also, mail box had a scratch/small defect that made one edge not smooth, as it has a small nick. Seems for this price you should get a product with smooth edges and a functional place to put outgoing mail. It really isnt big enough on the part that pulls toward you (where mail delivery person opens mailbox to stick in the mail) to put in a standard size envelope (greeting card OR narrower business envelope for bills). I dont understand a mailbox where you can only receive mail, not place it to be picked up by the mail carrier.

Nice solid box. Ample size. Easy to retrieve mail. I like that the postal carrier doesnt need a key but can just drop the mail in like at a book drop. Bolts down securely with 4 - 5/16 lag bolts (supplied). Its a bit of work to reach in and tighten the back lag bolts but I like the fact that the bolts are inside the secure portion of the box and cant be tampered with. Im confident that this will stop your ordinary mail thief.

Loved it before I even installed it. It’s a heavy box with heavy gauge metal. Easy to install. It even came with the 4 lag bolts and drill bit to drill the pilot holes. Took about 15 minutes to install.

I had specific needs for packets and this box worked out great. Its really well made from good metal and is a nice looking box in the bronze with gold #s. Easy to mount, and the wood bolts come with it. BAM!

I bought this from this seller, because they said next day delivery. Its late 2 days....not cool, I could have bought from someone else and received it sooner.

Install wasnt too bad. Box is very solid. Worth every dollar, and thats coming from a cheapskate. You wont regret this one... at least I dont.
