> 24 hourIm changing all the electrical fixtures in the house and this handy device has been great. I was on the fence on whether I wanted this device with its unidirectional light vs. the DML806 with is 360° light. Now that Ive used the DML801, I think I made the right choice. I like being able to direct the light onto what youre working on and not into your eyes as well. I can work for several hours with the light and its still above 75% power with a 2.0 mAh battery. The articulation of the light is great enabling you to get the light precisely where you want it.

> 24 hourGreat flashlight , got it for 37 dollars and change with prime . I use a 5.0 ah battery , brightness is on point . Pivots in a lot of directions. Great light by makita .

> 24 hourBright, long lasting, and can be positioned in a helpful angle in almost any application. The best work light Ive owned. Price conscience though? Definitely not. 5 stars for the functionality and usefulness of the tool, but I really feel it should cost half what it does.

> 24 hourHave been using one for a couple years as a work light and a recent long power outage induced us to get a second, one for each floor on our 2 story house. Also bought the combo of 2 5A batteries and dual battery charger which at the time was slightly cheaper than just 2 batteries. Lots of light!

> 24 hourBought this as emergency lighting for the house, since I always have charged Makita batteries lying around and I know they dont discharge over time. Strong enough to fully illuminate a 3x6 meter room in its weak mode, which allows 9 hours of runtime on the smallest 18v battery. Whats kind of not obvious is how large this thing is. The black rubber on the handle is long as my hand is wide, so this is three hands high, excluding battery. Not really a problem, just kind of surprised me. The switch disconnects before it clicks, so the lamp can be used for signaling.

> 24 hourI wish I would have had one of these years ago. Its perfect for working under a sink or a house or a car. With a 3 Amp Hour battery on it, it is very stable and would last all day.
