MARUNDA Pet Heating Pad,Cat Dog Electric Pet Heating Pad Indoor Waterproof,Auto Constant Temperature, Chew Resistant Steel Cord

This pad is being used to heat a 10 gallon hermit crab habitat. Using an automated thermostat it is able to keep the tank between 72-78 degrees with high humidity. It is attached to exterior back of the tank and it does what it was purchased for.

When I first put it out my cats wouldnt go on it, my thought was maybe because it smelled a little different than their old one that it was replacing. I put it underneath the blanket on my bed and they had no problem getting on the warm spot then when it got cold enough that I had to put the quilt on the bed for my own comfort and I moved the heating mat on to bed they had no problem so if it was any smell a couple of weeks its spent under my blanket took care of it.

We keep our thermostat set low to save money and energy. Great for us, but a little chilly for the cats and a small dog. The animals love them! They dont get hot when not in use; dont overheat when an animal is using it. Bonus: I put the cat mat at the end of my bed. With an electric blanket, its difficult to get my feet warm enough without making the rest of my body too hot. Not now! I love using the mat for my feet! The cat graciously shares it with me! :) UPDATE: After 1-1/2 months use, still super happy with these mats. However, one of the dogs chewed the corner of the mat, which is easy to do. This severed the wiring, so now the mat doesnt heat up anymore. Nothing wrong with the mat; I just thought is was funny that I focused on the effectiveness of the chew-resistant cord, when the mat itself is so easily chewed. If your pet is a chewer, this heating mat wont work. Two of our dogs chew only when home alone in the kennel, so no mats in there! The mats on my bed and the sofa are perfectly fine! Would still purchase again! We have a large dog who loves to chew pet mattresses and his toys and bones. He hasnt found the cords to these heating mats, so I cannot testify to how chew-proof they are. Hopefully, hell never test them!

This heating pad is everything they say. It maintains a perfect temperature for the animals and we live in snow country. I have it inside our dogs crate, under the cushion and the warmth is perfect. I was so pleased with the first heating pad I purchased I bought a second one for our dogs crate out in my husbands shop. Our dog goes in there for her naps or when she has decided he is making too much noise with his woodworking.

I got this for my outdoor cat shelter but the kitties dont seem to want to stay in the shelters for whatever reason. So I gave it to my geriatric indoor cat. HE LOVES IT and frankly, I do to. As long as its plugged in, its on and very warm. The cord is strong. Its been plugged in for like five months and I have yet to have a single issue with it. It stays in his bed and he rarely leaves it.

I bought 2 different brands to try and my cat wont even look at the other one thought its larger and has 2 settings. She is getting older and has arthritis. She has clearly been very happy to sleep on this and when she does get up she looks much less stiff than she had been.

The only reason I didnt give 5 stars, the description states its 22 watts however there is nothing on the package or electrical specs on the pad to verify this. I was replacing an 11 watt pad with this due to the cat house being outdoor on a covered porch. This does produce more heat than the previous pad, and I like the non adjustable thermostat control which is less likely to be accidentally set at the wrong setting. Thanks Wayne

Our older cat loves the added warmth this kitty heating pad provides. It doesnt get extremely warm but seems to be just enough. Its like a electric heating pad with a thin fuzzy cover. The cord has extra tough insulation to protect against shock, but of course if your pet is an insistent chewer no electric product may be safe. I love that the cover has gone through the sanitize cycle of the washer and then the dryer very well.

Description of this product is accurate. Temp control awesome and so far so good on safety. I was worried about putting in my garage and leaving it on all the time for cold weather where one cat prefers to hang in box. She loves it and now we cant get her in the house. My old girl who lives on the couch inside is very thin and gets cold so this was a great solution. I dont think youre supposed to put it on a soft surface but we have had it in the dog bed she claimed for over two months. She has peed and threw up on it twice (grant me patience). Just washed mat with clean rag and windex. Tossed the zipped cloth cover in the washer and dryer no problem. I would definitely recommend. The heating pad, not the 19 year old cat .

I recently started fostering kittens. I am on my second litter of newborn kittens and this heating pad works so well that I just ordered another one. It is well made, has a removable, washable cover and a chew proof cord. It doesn’t get too hot, it just keeps the “nest” the perfect temperature.
