> 24 hourBeing a photographer/storm chaser, I sometimes have to leave my gear (several thousand dollars worth) in the vehicle when I dont really want to. While everything is insured, Id rather not come back to find it smash and grabbed and have to deal with replacing it. So this year I bought Pelican cases (which are super strong) and this cable, as well as a couple of locks. This this is really thick! What I do is run this cable down around the factory seat mounts (these are made to withstand crash forces) and then put the ends into the locks I put on the Pelican cases. Sure, if someone had enough time and could make enough noise, they could probably eventually either cut the cable, the locks or the lock place on the cases. But the intent here is to prevent any smash and grabs when I HAVE to leave the gear in when I go in a store or something. I think this will work perfectly for that scenario, and give me some peace of mind. Its all about making it harder for someone to grab your stuff, so they move on to the next car.

> 24 hourBeen working great to block my office driveway, use only on weekends. No rusting, no tangling - great choice, and would-be trespassers get the hint.

> 24 hourGreat cable -- very happy with it. Used it to secure some Christmas decorations in the front yard. Works great with a standard exterior lock.

> 24 hourIts thicker than I expected. Id give 5 stars if it is more flexible.

> 24 hourNo cable is going to save your bike from theft but this one is as good as any other Ive used in the past. Its a fairly heavy gauge cable so it might give a criminal shopping for a bike second thoughts about getting through it before being noticed. Because the cable is thick it is a bit inflexible but thats the tradeoff.

> 24 hourNice length of sturdy cable for locking items in my covered truck bed. Used this on a cross country trip to secure my 2 generators and spare propane tank in my truck bed. The bed is covered with an aluminum bed cover, so my gear is out of sight. Anyone who wanted to steal my stuff could mangle the bed cover and cut the cable, but thieves tend to not steal what they dont see. And you wouldnt rip open the cover and cut the cable without me and the dog knowing it.

> 24 hourI bought a Kryptonite cable that is similar to this and really like the flexibility of the braided cable over the standard twisted cable, but it was too short for my purposes and Kryptonite didnt make a longer cable for a reasonable price (that I could find). I was a little cautious about this cables flexibility based on a few of the reviews, but that was short lived once I received it. This cable is quite flexible (equal to the expensive Kryptonite) and very well protected with a vinyl coated cable and plastic coated crimps so that no metal is exposed to possibly damage an expensive item. I load two-three bikes on my hitch rack or in the bed of my truck and this cable easily interweaves through all of the frames and wheels for a positive securing with a quality padlock to a somewhat-secure, bolted-on connector on my truck. Like all good cables, this only provides deterrent-level security since it can be cut with the proper tools; however, that is all I need. If you want to secure your bike to a rack outside and go to work or school inside, this is not sufficient on its own, but works well in conjunction with a u-lock (for the frame) and an immovable rack.

> 24 hourI use this in conjunction with Master Lock Outdoor Combination Lock, Heavy Duty Weatherproof Padlock to secure my kayak to my boat dock. I like the fact that its weather proof and has so far resisted corrosion from the salt water.
