Greater than one weekUnfortunately we live in a world where some people can not act like adults, and are a pest to society. Its thanks to them that measures of security need to be taken. Through this cable is very nice and strong, it is not 100% fool proof! Its good enough to shy away most people from stealing a bike; however this cable could be cut with big pliers/cutters (though most people wont be carrying them with themselves). Good for securing bikes, or scooters.

> 3 dayI bought a Kryptonite cable that is similar to this and really like the flexibility of the braided cable over the standard twisted cable, but it was too short for my purposes and Kryptonite didnt make a longer cable for a reasonable price (that I could find). I was a little cautious about this cables flexibility based on a few of the reviews, but that was short lived once I received it. This cable is quite flexible (equal to the expensive Kryptonite) and very well protected with a vinyl coated cable and plastic coated crimps so that no metal is exposed to possibly damage an expensive item. I load two-three bikes on my hitch rack or in the bed of my truck and this cable easily interweaves through all of the frames and wheels for a positive securing with a quality padlock to a somewhat-secure, bolted-on connector on my truck. Like all good cables, this only provides deterrent-level security since it can be cut with the proper tools; however, that is all I need. If you want to secure your bike to a rack outside and go to work or school inside, this is not sufficient on its own, but works well in conjunction with a u-lock (for the frame) and an immovable rack.

> 3 dayPurchased to secure my kayak closer to the boat dock when out camping, and I was surprised by how thick the cable was. I almost went for a larger size and Im glad I didnt. Worked perfect and the length was great.

> 3 dayHeavy duty is an apt description for this cable. Im using it to secure a pasture gate with a serious padlock. Ive had a problem recently with some kids in the neighborhood wanting to come in and see the horses. Rather than have them arrested at 11 for trespassing, I am double securing the gate with this chain. (One at the bottom and one at the top) So far its not crimping or showing any wear after several days of rain. Bottom line is this works for my needs and parents need to teach their kids about private property.

> 3 dayThis is a hardcore lock loop. There was no way anybody was getting through this cable. Make sure you invest in a lock as sturdy as the cable!

> 3 dayWe recently moved our offices to a part of town which is gradually gentrifying, but certainly hasnt chased away all the urban grittiness yet. We bought a set of steel tables and chairs for our porch, and then realized were only three blocks from the local scrap metal dealer. It seemed like a police report which was just waiting to be written. This cable is long enough to loop through all the furniture without really getting in the way. We never unlock it, because we can actually move the chairs enough to be comfortable, still connected to one another. Three months ago, I called 9-1-1 to report somebody pushing our neighbors barbecue grill down the street, toward the scrap dealer. But nobody has tried to steal our stuff yet.
