So I’ve tried all different types of leashes from the ones that expand to the regular kinds and have to say that this particular leash has been my favorite. I didn’t realize until a dog training friend of mine told me that the expandable leashes could be dangerous to use on certain kinds of dogs and possibly cause injury. What I love about this one is the really cool option of having the additional handle. Comes in handy if I need to cross the street with the dog or pull her away from any other people/dogs. Honestly, after having the double handle for awhile I don’t know how I survived without it. Totally cool update to the standard leash. Also the material being reflective and strong is a great plus. Trust me this leash it awesome!

This is our second leash and collar set. We love the double handles that give us more control when we need it. So now we have the 4ft and 6ft leashes. Bonus that the company donates supplies to dog rescues. We walk in a busy neighborhood - lots of cars passing, kids, squirrels, and cats . The double handle allows me to bring her close when needed. My 1 year old female 100 plus pound English Mastiff was dragging me all over the place; it was terrible! I coupled this leash with an Eazy Walk and the difference has been night and day since day one. I finally have control of her and it’s VERY comfortable on the hand. Never felt another leash handle so comfy. It’s also sturdy and thick, an actual quality leash. I should’ve invested in one of these a LONG time ago. EDIT: Almost 2 years later and this handle is still my favorite. It still looks brand new with no fraying, and it is still so comfortable in my hand. Great purchase.

Love the color and love how sturdy this feels when walking our dog. We are working on heeling and the lower handle helps to keep her next to me without having to bunch the entire leash up in my hand. It has held up well through our walks and hiking.

We are loving this leash! The handles padding are nice for when our puppy pulls. (4months, 30lbs) We can tell a difference from the regular leash handles. We accidentally bought a six ft leash instead of four foot but tied a knot to make it shorter so we now have three places to grab so we can adjust to the intensity of his pulling. The six ft is also nice for us to have our kids walk him with the one ft and then we can have a hold of it for when he sees a squirrel or person...or trash. Comes in handy for puppy training class. Had for about a week and walked at least once, if not twice, a day. So far, so good. Love that they give back go rescues!

I have a 16 lb SHIH Tzu Maltese mix. I bought the leash so I can have better control of him when he gets upset with another dog in the park. However the leash’s lower handle is not for small dogs. I wish they have a second holder that is higher for smaller dogs for easier control. I wish they also have a narrower leash for smaller dogs. It is very well made. I kept it because they also contribute a leash when I purchase one to rescue group.

We bought this leash from the Wirecutter recommendation, and will stay with this product. The leash is very comfortable and sturdy. In addition, we filed a warranty claim after our dog tore through the leash after significant wear, and received a prompt replacement with excellent service. Max and Neo is the best!

I recently adopted a pair of bonded male labs from a local rescue and outfitted them both with Max and Neo collars and leashes. They look great and are super sturdy. I love the reflective stitching; it really lights up during those early morning walks so were all seen. The leashes are really comfortable to hold and the lower handle is great for working with your dog on leash manners. I had to see in another loop midway on the leash to use successfully with my dachshund. Otherwise, nice padding in the provided loops and good quality
