I was aware that I could get the Wii U Pro controller to work on my PC with a regular old bluetooth adapter, but this was barely more expensive and didnt require fiddling with as much software setup. To me, I thought the convenience of the item was worth it. On the PC everything seemed to work without any problems so far. Just a bit of light use over a few months, but at least initially its been fine for me. PC Games with the Xbox360 controller support recognized the controller fine. I used it a bit in FF14 ARR, and it worked fine. It also worked in some games that required Direct Input instead of XInput. So both functions worked fine for me. This isnt a knock on the product, but button mappings were a problem when trying to use with the PS3. Its possible to use for games that allow full button re-mapping, but most dont do that. TLDR: It works.

I know there are reports that it makes your controller function like an xbox controller, but that isnt quite true. The letter button lay outs stay the same, so in that sense there is no confusion when you are looking down at your controller. If you play a game like AC Unity, then youll be confused because they use context sensitive positions when showing a button prompt on screen. The device works perfectly when it comes to connecting your Wii U Pro Controller to the PC so it deserves every single star it gets.

Im a Mac user with a partitioned Windows 7 on this laptop, and because my main system is Mac, I was a little fearful it wouldnt work given the description doesnt mention it on here, but I got it in the mail and woah ho woah hey, no downloaded needed - just plug it in and it works flawlessly. Just connected the USB part, synched it properly, and boom, I was playing. It works great also on my windows segment, as expected. so if youre a mac user and on the fence, i was there too but it works great. *Using Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

I like to play steam games with a controller and wanted to connect my Wii U controller. This adapter has worked perfectly and held up over the years. It comes with a disk to install drivers but I dont bother with it, just plug it into the pc and it will install drivers itself.

Im writing this review specifically for those of you who plan to use this with Retropie. I bought this based on a searchable internet thread that recommended it as a solution to a PowerLead Wii U Pro Controller that wont pair to a Raspberry Pi 3 B+s built in Bluetooth. This is in fact a fix for that problem and works beautifully. I plugged it into my Raspberry Pi running RetroPie and fired up the Pi. There is a Pairing button on the Mayflash that you push and also one on the PowerLead controller that you push second. After doing that I found the Controller told me it was paired with the Mayflash but the Mayflash was still blinking like it wasnt connected. So at that point I held the A button on the Controller and after a few seconds the two were connected. Beautiful. No problems since.

I had a WiiU pro controller sitting around already just taking up space in a box. I found this product on amazon and people said it worked, and that you can switch to XBOX button scheme layout. So far product has been great. Connection / sync works perfectly. Home button also brings up steam big picture. This is so much easier than my experience in getting something like DS4win and other software to work consistently with other controllers. The Wii U Pro controller is a decent controller, and this is a great way to add a player 2 controller if you have a pro controller sitting around. For me though, I prefer using this controller over brand new XBOX One S controller for most games. My SO hates that button layout wont match XBOX letters, but this is a non-issue to me. Fact that software gives you option of both layout schemes is also a great feature. Update 2018: I still use this item and my Wii U Pro controller on PC. I have Xbox One controller sitting in my desk with no batteries in it. Would rather use this and Wii U Pro controller for PC.

Are you having trouble connecting any Nintendo device to Windows 10 after the April 2018 update? I did, then I bought this. Instant sync to my Wii U Pro controller, Windows sees an Xbone controller, and the Wii U emulator (CEMU) will let you map a Wii U Pro control scheme to it. Im playing my games at intended speed, with higher resolution, and none of the odd noises the console makes. Its great.

Im really impressed with this thing. Apart from how well it works, I didnt expect the build quality to be so high. The plastic is pretty firm, it feels durable, and the casing is screwed in very tightly. The input switch is very sturdy, too. As for functionality, Im thoroughly impressed. It just works. You pair it with your Wii U Pro controller, and youre done. You can use a Bluetooth adapter and something like WiinUSoft, but that was a lot of work to set up, and it was very finicky. The controller wouldnt pair between reboots, it would disconnect randomly, and it was an overall mess. If you have a Bluetooth adapter, like me, but you want something that will let you just grab the controller and play, you need this adapter. Its great.

Works well and has given me 0 hassle on the functionality side of things. The only issue is that the natural state of the left stick was slightly off-centered, more so than with my other controllers. Im fairly confident this was not the controller as there was no such issue with the actual console. It forced me to use deadzones in emulators and was sometimes awkward in racing games. I was, however, able to beat Dark Souls with a Wii U controller, proving the adapter works well.
