May Flash Wireless Wii U Pro Controller Adapter for PC USB

Greater than one week*Update: Mayflash added a firmware update. You can now swap the buttons A/B or A/A for Xinput/Dinput modes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I bought this to use with my Steam Library. Aside from the cheap plastic, its a great device. Drivers install without a problem and theyre also available on the website. (which is always a plus!) It has 2 modes + a sync button. Simply install the drivers, and use the sync button on both device/controller and youre good to go. Xinput mode will emulate an Xbox controller (up to 1 Device) and Dinput which can hook up to 4 devices. The only downside is (and it could be a deal breaker for you) if youre mainly buying this for Xinput mode the buttons are actually correct on the controller. Meaning (if ABXY is xbox, your wii u pro controller is the same) it mirrors the buttons, so the mapping/layout of controller does not match a real xbox controller. Im pretty sure this is due to the analog sticks being on top instead of bottom. Either way this is great to use and a good adapter, and the only reason I rate it a 3, is due to the button layout.

> 3 dayIf you plan to use a Wii U Pro Controller with your PC, do yourself a favor and just buy this. It really is plug and play. Just plug it to your computer, wait a few seconds for the drivers to install automatically, and when its done, just press the sync button on both this guy and your controller and youre done. It even syncs faster than syncing your controller to a Wii U. Dont know why, dont really care. Forget about tutorials on Youtube about how to setup other blue tooth devices, downloading the correct drivers, and all that stuff that makes you waste time without knowing for sure if its going to work or not. Just get this guy, its worth it.

> 3 dayWorks just as I hoped it would. It was simple to install and get running. I figured it would make my Wii U Pro Controller emulate a 360 controller, and the button layout would match for 360. I.e. Y on a 360 pad is the top button, but is X on a Pro controller. I figured with this that X on my Pro controller would function as Y did on my 360. To my surprise all the buttons were correct. What was Y on my 360 controller is still Y on my Pro controller!

> 3 dayWorks perfectly fine even with 3rd party controllers. I only have ONE issue with it -- I can only connect a single controller at a time under Xinput mode, but works fine with 4 controllers on Dinput. Not that big of an issue but something to point out. The firmware update it comes with allows you to switch the buttons from the Wii U layout and the traditional Xbox 360 controller layout with button mapping. ALSO this works awesomely on the PS3, just keep in mind that it doesnt have pressure sensitive controls and only supports a single controller on PS3.

Greater than one weekI gotta say at first I was hesitant, The build quality is amazing, Instructions were simple, I got my Wii U Pro Controller up and working on my PS3 in less than a minute, and the most amazing thing out of all. It works FLAWLESSLY. I have not disconnected the adapter, and I dont think it will work without it, but thats Okay.

> 3 dayWOW!. 10 stars. First of all there are some inaccurate answers posted here about functionality and I want to clear those up. This thing works great on pc, even better than a xbox 360 controller. Only downside I see really is the triggers on wii u pro controllers are more like buttons but it actually improves response times I think. This made me realize how much more responsive and faster it feels like using a wii u pro controller than even a wired in 360 or ps3 controller, even works on ps3 and way better I think than ds3 controller. If you have a OTG cable you can plug it in to your android phone or tablet and it works just like a wired xbox 360 controller just use xinput on the switch. I had some gta games on my phone like san andreas and vice city I havent played in forever because of the controls but it works perfectly like or better than it did when I played it on ps2. 10 stars.

18-04-2025I bought this adapter to attach a few Wii U Pro Controllers to my WIndows PC and it worked really well! I have successfully connected two Pro Controllers to Dolphin, PJ64, and VisualBoyAdvanced. The adapter worked with 3rd party pro controllers. I have tried a bunch of different solutions for a seamless wireless controller experience with Dolphin. This bundled up with a few pro controllers ended up being the best solution.

Greater than one weekPurchased this on a whim along with the PS3 version and so far I am extremely impressed. Install drivers > plug in adapter > sync controller, DONE. (I used on Windows 8.1 system with Steam Big Picture and other non steam games, all worked flawlessly.) You can toggle between D/Xinput on the adapter though Ive mostly only used the Xinput. The computer will recognize the controller as an Xbox 360 controller which is great, but also brings me to the one drawback I found. Even though it is recognized as an XBOX 360 controller, the ABXY mapping is Nintendos version, not the standard XBox 360 placement. This throws me off enough in some games that I am using the Dualshock 3 controller + adapter instead (which maps the same as an XBOX 360 controller.) If Mayflash releases a driver that will allow the user to change the ABXY mapping, this would definitely be my wireless controller of choice for PC gaming.

Greater than one weekI have been using this adapter for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it. I love the Wii U Pro controller, but it wasnt getting much use with my Wii U. Now, I am using it every single day with my computer and I like it much more than the PS3 controller I was using before with my computer. Not to mention how much clutter this saves by eliminating the long cords I had to use before getting this. Like other users have mentioned, the buttons do correspond to the Xbox 360 buttons, so youll have to get used to A, B, X, and Y being in different places than the 360 controller. It only took me a couple days to adjust, and after about a week I didnt even have to think about which buttons were which. I only use the Xinput mode, and it has worked with every game I have played. For $25, I think this was well worth the purchase price. Definitely would recommend.

> 3 dayIve been really frustrated with Nintendo for the past seven years. When they announced the Virtual Console for Wii, I was really excited about having digital versions of the games I grew up with on a Nintendo console instead of PC ROMs. Unfortunately, a lot of the games I loved didnt make it. Then Nintendo announces Wii U and how its supposed to win back core gamers and cut the grandma crap. They release the awesome pro controller and promise new Virtual Console games. What they conveniently left out was that 9/10 Wii U games wont even support the pro controller and instead of offering new / more Virtual Console, they spit out the same old crappy NES games that everyone has already bought and played on multiple platforms millions of times. Wheres my Turtles in Time? Aladdin? Lion King? TMNT Tournament Fighters? Mega Man X 2 and 3? Mega Man 7? Street Figher Alpha? Mega Man and Bass? Pinocchio? Hook? I know that licensing has a lot to do with it, but Nintendo has some of the best lawyers in the world. Ive come to the conclusion that they just dont care. Instead of bringing back those great games and more, theyre just gonna keep spitting out the old Mario and Zelda for people to buy over and over. Wait, wasnt I reviewing something...? AH, yes. The pro controller USB adapter. Its excellent. It comes with some Gamecube-lookin disk, but I dont know why because it wont even fit in my disk drive. I just plugged it in, synced the controller and I was off. Mega Man X 3 with (in my opinion) Nintendos best controller. Ive tried to support the company that Ive been with since a kid in the 90s, but its getting harder and harder because Nintendo simply does not care about us. They made the pro controller to lure us into buying the Wii U, but hardly any games support it. They promise more Virtual Console releases, but its been one game (if that) a week. Seriously? Nintendo is sitting on one of, if not THE most legendary video game library, but theyre just going to trickle out crap like Balloon Fight and Vega Stakes once a week. So, screw em. Now I can enjoy all the games I want and get my moneys worth out the pro controller - no thanks to Nintendo.
