I already own other pancake style lights like this, but this is so much better. As for the brightness, it is about the same as other 12W lights. When it is used with other lights with the same temperature settings, it does blend well. I cant tell the difference, so I have no problem with using this as additions to my existing lights. The feature I like the most about this, which differentiate from other pancake style lights, is its night light feature. It doesnt consume a lot of electricity (3W) and it is very easy to operate. One thing to note is that the night light could be bright for some people if you have 5 lights with the night light mode. I installed it in a separate switch, so I can control it when I want to use it with the night light mode. You just have to know how you want to use them.

This is an excellent deal to retro fit older style lights and that is what I am doing in our kitchen. I got these style lights because they are dimmable, they are easy to hookup using 3 wires, Black, white and ground and probably the most important for me is the choice of the 5 different color light options they offer. I have to locate these in existing holes already in the ceiling which takes the place of older style can lights. The spring loaded install clips on these Meconard 6 Inch LED Canless Recessed Lights are working perfect for my installation method. Note that it is important that you measure your opening and be sure that the hole does not exceed their dimensions in the description. Their dimensions are exact for these lights. The wiring could not be simpler and be sure that you are able to hook up the ground wire to prevent any kind of flicker. This is the only thing holding me up is I have to run some ground wires to the existing cans. I also love the added option of the night light feature and this is easily turned on or off by the wall switch. After initially turning the light on, just turn it off and within 2 seconds turn the switch on again, this will give you the orange night light. Do the same to put it back in normal mode. Overall this is a great deal and these are really nice lights and offer choice of color options and being dimmable.

These 4 LED fixtures seem to be a great idea for room lighting. The color temperature can be set to what is appropriate for the room (switch settable on the metal box) and these install without the need for a permanent stud mounted light fixture. The metal box has conduit punch-outs and it should service as a junction box. The only potential concern is LED or junction box failure as it could be difficult to find replacement fixtures if for some reason they are discontinued by the manufacturer. Id suggest keeping several as spares.

We were replacing an existing ceiling fan in our kitchen with can lights, so this was a retrofit. We hired an electrician to install and are really pleased with how these perform. The nightlight feature is really nice and casts a beautiful glow. Since its in our kitchen, we needed more light and so weve set it on neutral, and with 6 lights in a 14x20 space, its perfectly bright without being blinding. We love the clean look of can lights, really like the brightness options, and think the nightlight ring is warm and ambient. Highly recommended.

I ordered these LED recessed ceiling lights to upgrade my house from the old school can light that it came with. the main reason for this is to brighten up the house and reduce the energy consumption. These LED recessed lights are nice as you can pretty much install them anywhere even if theres a stud in the way. I think its a nice touch that these have a switch to change color temperature and with the junction box being separated form the light, wiring of these lights are a piece of cake. for rooms that need additional lighting, you can cut the hole in ceiling and not worry about studs. the spring loaded clamps are sturdy and keep the light clamped in place.

Dont have the time to return / contact them. I need more but am going to buy another brand. The ones that work are fine.

These are pretty much exactly what you want for pot lights. No more need for deep can installations. And those got hot, sometimes needed insulation, etc. These are so slim and easy to install. If these are a retrofit, you can have them in there almost as quickly as changing a light bulb. The major plus in these is the night light. At bedtime, I can give the switch a waggle and they go into night mode. Its a wee bit bright with the six of them - but works for an hour. Ive got the switch to Alexa, so its timed to turn off after. The color adjustment makes for perfect room aesthetics and then rather than wire nuts, the trend is WAGOs. These are knock-offs but work great. The quality is hard to say thus far. The connection box metal is a bit thin but fine. Maybe this is a bit lower quality than the build of the old cans, but likely it is all it needs. My guess is ten years before needing service. This is a great set at a great price.

These lights are absolutely incredible! The slim profile is so convenient and makes installation remarkably easy. No need to worry about location of joists/beams because the slim lights will fit anywhere. Each light has a junction box with pre-installed wire clips…it is as simple as sliding the electrical wire into the corresponding clip (black, white, green). You can simply run wire from one light to the next and string them together on one line. What makes these lights extra special is the nightlight feature. By simply flipping the switch on you turn the downlight on, turn the switch off and back on, and you change the light to nightlight. It really is that easy. The nightlight feature is perfect for when we want to watch movies in the theater room. The cost of these lights are so reasonable and truly cut down the yearly energy cost. I’ve seen similar lights in the big box stores with a much higher price point but there is no reason to waste money. Skip the high price and big annoying cans and install these slim recessed lights for a fraction of the cost and frustration. You’ll be glad you did!
