I was able to configure this quickly and setup a test in my front lawn and back lawn outlets. Both tests show that I can control these easily with the app on my phone. Each outlet can be separately turned off and on using the app or Alexa voice commands.

Bought this on a flash deal in March in hopes to use it for Christmas decorations in winter. I had a hard time connecting to it as the instructions didnt indicate that on Iphone I needed to edit the app settings in the iOS itself to allow LAN. Once I did that, it worked great.

As you can see, the functionality is amazing. My only issue is I thought it would be a bit more water resistant. A few bouts of sideways rain kind of made my GFCI trip. I bought it for that as much as the integration which is why it gets four stars. Other then that, setting up the plug was an absolute breeze and having it be integrated with the rest of my smart home was just as easy. Really helped with keeping the electric bill down during the holidays.

Having two plugs that can be programmed independently of each other is great. I have one plug running my landscape lights with a dusk to midnight timer and the second running a light on Old Glory on a dusk to dawn timer. The plug is small enough that it fits inside the lightkiwi low violated transformer box. So to keep it completely out of the weather I installed it inside with a few command strip pieces of Velcro, fits perfect, everything inside the box, very clean look. The wifi signal connectivity was fine even being inside the stainless steel box. However after a week it started to foul up, the app dropped the light and I had to reinstall it several times, not very hard but annoying. Then where there was once wifi signal it was no longer strong enough. My router is about 35-40 ft. through the one outside wall. I had the same problem with an ihome plug. That was a single plug that ran everything, I upgraded to this plug to run the two zones of outside lights. The solution, I bought a wifi extender and put it in a plug that is withing a foot of the outside plug, through the wall of course. No issues since. Bottom line is it needs a very striping wifi signal, seems like all of the outdoor plugs regardless of manufacture does. In the end a $40 wifi extender was just a part of the project to get things running. 4 stars as in a perfect world I would not need the wifi extender. But very happy with the plug, works great with good signal.

The quality is as pictured - its really good. However, setup was not fun. Put it this way: I bought an amazon smart plug. I plugged it in, Alexa discovered it automatically, and I was in business. This plug requires you to install a third party app, create an account, set up your plug, and link a skill with Alexa. For me, the linking process kept erroring out on me, to the point I got frustrated, removed the third party app, and decided to return the plug. However, the next day, I reinstalled the app and power cycled my echo, and everything just worked. So...Im keeping it. Youll see THREE smart plugs in your Alexa app. One for the main device, and one for each plug (there are two). You can manipulate any of them with your Alexa/Echo. Now that its installed, Im happy with what I got - Alexa voice control for outdoor patio string lights. But it was a big pain to get it working.

The product works just as advertised. However getting it hooked up and integrated with Alexa is a whole different story. The little 3.5 x 6 piece of paper they provide is nowhere near complete. I was able to get it integrated with Alexa only after a long conversation with someone who has hooked up seven of them. What they need is a video on you tube or whatever that gives you step by step instructions for use with the specific device being used with the app( in my case iPad). I would not recommend this item to any non techie, as Meross has absolutely no support system whatsoever

I purchases 2 of these plugs to time my outdoor lights for the holidays. They worked great, allowing me to set on and off groups that worked with both units. I could have worked with each plug in the unit separately which I think is quite unique. Havent tried the Alexa integration but I see no reason it wouldnt work well there too.

Easy to install and set up with Alexa or Google. I link being able to set program for patio lights vs the main system that only had sunset for a certain time duration. The negative is having a strong enough WiFi signal. If you have to buy a WiFi extender, not sure it would be worth it. Have to wait for rain before I try out the water proofing.

So, I just got this, then I updated the software and added it into homekit. Then I commanded it to different levels while measuring the voltage. There are a few problems. 1. Commanding it to 0% is the same as commanding it to 1%. Which is to say, it does not turn off, and I think you should expect it too turn off in this case. The measured voltage in that case is still 30V. Thankfully, the light on the controller stays on, so its not actually misleading. 2. You cannot turn it off by pushing the button. At all. You can cycle through various power levels (which is neat) but theres no button combination that results in it being OFF. Or maybe there is and I havent found it. I havent read the directions, but I dont think I should have to read the directions in order to turn an electric power socket / controller with ONE button OFF. Okay, I just found it. You double-press the button for OFF. This is bad design.

This is my second meross product after their smart plugs. I plugged it in, pressed the + sign on the app, chose smart outdoor plug and Next and it was installed. it automatically integrated into my Alexa Meross devices. The whole process was painless. Each outlet can be individually addressed or both together. I moved it outside, plugged in my outdoor lighting and immediate connection to my network and the socet powered on and off perfectly. Now, will it last over time? Dont know, but for starters it is a 5 star device but 4 because it is not the least expensive out there.
