> 3 dayI purchased this item to control a heating pad I installed in an outdoor shelter for a couple of feral cats. The heating pad is a simple resistive load and with this smart dimmer I can control the temperature of the pad using my Apple HomeKit software. It works exactly as planned. It delivers a percentage of the voltage to the pad. For example, when set to 20% it delivers 20% of the line voltage to the heating pad. Thats exactly what I wanted. I can control the temperature of the heating pad using my phone from anywhere I have internet access. I have not tried using this smart dimmer with any other appliance but I feel confident it would simply vary the voltage applied to any connected appliance (light, heater, etc.).

> 3 dayVery easy setup through product app, connects to wifi easily and is immediately response. Ability to control each outlet individually, and can setup timers/regular lighting functions. Havent tested out Alexa function, not necessary yet, but will try soon. Really happy with it.

18-11-2024Ok, the timer works, 1 independant outlets is nice. The app, not so nice. It isnt that intuitive and took me a few minutes figuring out how to get it on the wifi. One thing i havent found in the app is the ability to have a family account. Im going have to put the app on the hubbys phone and log in. Jinvoos app creates family shares, but they dont make an outdoor outlet. I like Jinvoo better, more features.

> 3 day3rd meross device in my house. Works good and does its job well. Very easy to install. Integration with Google home is perfect - no issues with controlling the plug from Google home application or using Google assistant voice commands.

> 3 dayI use this to control a string of outdoor lights. It works well, plays well with HomeKit. It did take 3 resets upon receiving the device ti get it to successfully pair to HomeKit, but once paired, works great.

> 3 dayUpdate - October 27, 2022. Unfortunately, my excitement with this plug was short-lived. It has an exceptionally poor ability to stay connected to Wi-Fi, even when plugged in next to a router for testing. It would stay connected maybe 24 hours, and then disconnect, failing to reconnect. There has been one firmware update to address Wi-Fi stability since I received this, but it has failed to resolve the problem. So the potential is there, but until this issue is resolved I cannot recommend it. Original review below: So I picked up some LED string lights on Amazon, but, as with most string lights, you plug them in to turn them on, and unplug them to turn them off. I am a lazy human, and do not wish to do this. First, it means I have to leave my rooftop deck in the dark, and secondly it means Id fall down the stairs. Neither of these scenarios are appealing. So enter the Meross Smart Dimmer Plug, - with HomeKit support! Perfect. Plug string lights into Meross plug, and then plug the Meross into the outlet. Then it was just a case of using the Meross app/HomeKit to add the plug, and done! This supports dimming, which I was glad to see my string lights do, too. Excellent product, easy to set up, and well-priced, too. 5 out of 5. Love it.

> 3 dayI wanted a wifi connected smart power plug that didnt need to be connected to Alexa (didnt rate that for this device). I refuse to use Alexa, so I wanted something that specifically didnt need it. Well, this is a great device for that. It connects to my wifi and I can control the device from the app on my phone. The app is easy to use and the schedule saves and operates while Im home or away. There have been times that the outdoor lights (christmas lights) didnt turn on according to the schedule. I havent yet figured out why, but when I reconnect to the Meross software, they work. Besides this slight problem, they work flawlessly and you can schedule things at dusk and dawn so the schedule is reliant on the change of what dusk and dawn means in your area. Thats an awesome feature that I use all of the time for my schedules.
