> 24 hourPro: size - two plugs easily fit in a standard double outlet and on standard size power strip (on compact strips you would still be able to fit a two-prong plug next to it.) This is a huge improvement over the old TP-link plug that took up 2 spaces on my power strip even when it was placed on the top (see picture.) Operation & Integration - once connected the plug just work. I quickly forgot that they werent always there; waiting for my command. I can turn off all the lights in the house from the iphone flip-up screen. Installation - Like a lot of Meross products, the plug has EZ mode and AP mode. The detail instruction sheet takes you through EZ mode. However, the plugs were all in AP mode (slow blink) and I could not get it to blink fast even after 3 resets. Once you get over the fact that the instruction sheet is quite unhelpful and follow the instructions below, and you will find that installation is a breeze. 1. Plug it in. Make sure that the light blinks green/amber. If its steady green, as in a previous setup, press and hold the button for 5 seconds to get it into setup mode. 2. on you iPhone, go to Settings | Wireless. wait a few seconds until the plug shows up under the heading set up new device... The name is meross_sw_B210 or something similar... Click on it. 3. You now get a message that allows you to Add to Home & Wi-Fi (see picture.) Smash that link to turn on the camera and scan the top of the plug to add it into Homekit. 4. After about 30 seconds Homekit allows you to select the room and name of the new device. The phone automatically switch back to you home wireless network. cons: Not a huge issue, but the position of the button on the side of the plug could be challenging to your less techie household members. The ability to share homekit settings with everyone can mitigate the issue, but Im a bit concern that Ill get a talking-to the next time my wife tries to turn on the floor lamp in the den. I have a couple of floor lamps and my Roku device connected to plugs. No more having to get up to manually reset Roku. A voice command to Alexa does the trick. The 4th plug is connected to my electric tea kettle to schedule it for my morning brew (until I get a smart tea kettle, but thats a battle for another day.)

> 24 hourThese are way easier to set up than I thought. All you have to do is scan the QR code and you’re ready to go!

> 24 hourI liked that these integrated with Apple Home as described, however my WiFi is weak I think as I had to keep devices close to my WiFi transmitter for them to stay working.

> 24 hourThese are unreliable. My router supports only 2.4GHZ so cross-band issues are not a factor. I eventually got them all setup on Homekit. Most took more than one try. The code being attached to the plug is a hassle as you have to keep unplugging them when it doesnt work so you can rescan or read the code. It would have been nice to have had a card that lists the codes/numbers with a space for you to write where you have located each one. It would be nice if HomeKit would remember the number even if the process wasnt completed. I found the installation process worked best when you manually entered the numbers. Most of the time when I checked the status in HomeKit , all four would say Not Responding. It seems to me if one or two of them didnt work, you could write it off to a defective unit or a poor wifi signal, but all four? Perhaps being cheaper they are extra sensitive to wifi signal degradation. I have had ipads and iphones on my network for long periods of time without problems and they work all over the house, so why is it so hard to keep these on the network? I finally uninstalled them all because I got tired of crawling under the desk or moving a bookcase to turn on a light. I decided to try again with one device. I plugged it in next to the router. It seemed to be more reliable but still it said Not responding now and then. I would click on it and it worked. I tried turning it on with Siri and she gave me the Not Responding message. I am sitting in the next room with my iphone and IPAD and both are still connected, so I guess as long as I install all four devices next to the router and dont use voice commands, Im all set. I did get a firmware upgrade to work. Homekit will notify you and then you can go into the Meross app and update them. That part worked perfectly, but nothing changed. One problem in this old house is that most of my outlets are in the baseboard and they are installed horizontally. Some of them are installed upside down which means accessing the button is difficult, especially if it is behind furniture. I have learned a lot during this process-- mostly about what doesnt work. I wont be using these again, but I will try other brands. I will especially look for brands with the button on the front as opposed to the top or side as that will be the easiest to use. The price was great, so I hoped these would work, because I wanted to buy a bunch of them, but Ill be sending these back as I dont have a big need for controlling devices next to my router.

> 24 hourWhen I had first purchased, I had some problems with wifi reliability and I left a dissatisfied review. The company reached out to me and offered to replace the plugs with a more recent version. Everything works great now. I used to buy my smart light bulbs from a different manufacturer, but I had problems with those too. So from now on, I am buying my smart bulbs from Meross, they stand behind their products.

> 24 hourI started buying Meross Smart MiniPlugs about a year ago, attracted by their price, and a little nervous about their quality. I have found the MiniPlugs to be solidly built, relatively easy to set up, and have had no reliability issues. I also bought a smart wall switch and wall dimmer switch from Meross. Same good experience with both of those. Although I believe you can add these devices to Home without installing the Meross app, you will not be able to get upgraded firmware for the devices without having a Meross app and account. This is not a big issue - the app is free, and doesnt trouble you with notifications or junk mail, etc. Apple Home will tell you that a device update is available. You simply use the app, click update and its done. I bought another 4 mini plugs during a cyber Monday deal saving about $2 on each device. Even without the discount, these smart plugs are an excellent value.

> 24 hourI have used other smart plug brands, but this one seems the easiest to set up in HomeKit. So far they have been very reliable as well.

> 24 hourDisappointed. It is advertised as works with HomeKit and Hub not needed, but those are inclusive. That is simply for turning it off and on. In order to program/automate through HomeKit a HomeKit Hub (Like AppleTV or HomePod) IS required. You used to also be able to use an iPad as a hub, but that is no longer supported by Apple either in the latest update (16.2). You can use the Meross app without a hub for automation, but that isnt HomeKit.

> 24 hourI have purchased about a dozen of these for different houses. They are generally easy to set up with HomeKIt. However, there are a number of inconsistencies that seem to point to manufacturing issues: 1) Out of the box, some dont set up easily, others do. Same wifi, same location. 2) Some seem to lose connectivity once set up, others dont. Again, same wifi and same location. A few will frequently be updating when I want to control them. I like them, like the price point and buy in sets of, but may have to look for alternatives if 25-50% of the pack arent useable.

> 24 hourSo these smart plugs worked really great, and the response was quick as well. But then all of a sudden 3 out of 4 stopped working. The one working had not been connected previously. And the 3 that didn’t work anymore had been connected to devices. I had re-started, re-booted, erased them countless times from the home app and the Meross app itself but the same issue everytime. It would tell me either to restart the device before adding, or restart the device because it already belonged to another home. I called customer service and followed all the instructions they asked for, which was pretty much the same thing as rebooting the devices, they asked for things like sending them piks, videos of me restarting each device, and codes for each device as well. They responded fairly quickly but up until now they just stopped replying for no reason. It’s been almost a week and still no response. This really sucks because I’ve never had to write a bad review especially only because the customer service stopped replying for no reason so I feel like if they just didn’t want to deal with the issue anymore. I really liked the smart plugs and wish they could start working again because spending $40 on 3 out of 4 plugs feels wrong. But oh well i guess, still hoping that they will reply Update: i was told to be patient and that my replacements would be delivered in the 4th of February 2022. It’s now the 9th and i am very disappointed in how the customer service is handling this. Meross send me an email to contact another company i guess and still nothing. No update no email stating it would be late.
