> 3 dayWith the first one, I had some problems with the setup. I then attempted to add a different one and had no problems, so I reinstalled the first one and it went smoothly. I installed all 4 plugs, and they are working great. The other important thing is that if you move from one to another outlet, all you have to do is rename it. I liked these so much I just purchased the outdoor plug and thinking about getting the switches. The interface is really nice since I installed using the Meross app and Alexa, Google and Apple apps were automatically updated too. I will always buy this brand to automate my house.

> 3 dayUpdated 17-November 2021 - Back to 5 stars. I was contacted by support and had numerous back and forth emails. They explained to me the reason for the reboots and the solution they developed to resolve the reboots. They released a new firmware for the devices and made it available OTA. I updated my units and the reboots stopped. For the technically-minded, it had to do with IPv6 and an older API in their firmware that would reboot. The newer firmware corrected this and I have been able to return my minis back in service. Updated 13-Aug 2021 - The units reboot all of the time making things connected like TVs or lights go off and on. Tried tech support. Reduced to 1 star *Original* - It seems most of these arrive with firmware 4.1.11. When you add them to your Home the Apple Home app will complain there is an update available (notification and icon and everything) but the Meross app says there is not one available. This can be annoying however, use my instructions below to fix it and upgrade to 4.1.12. But it will require you to use two iOS devices. Below I use an iPhone and iPad for mine. But no reason you can’t use two iPhones or two iPads (Meross app is not made to use on iPad but will work). To clarify, this is what to do: 1- Install Meross app on iPhone and iPad (unfortunately Meross requires an account to update firmware) 2- Plug in the Smart Plug Minis one at a time into the wall (this is to avoid confusion selecting and updating) 3- Launch the Meross app on iPhone, click + on upper right of the app to add a device and then scroll down to Smart Plug Mini 4- Step through the Wifi steps and select the Meross Wifi that pops up, choose connect and add to home 5- It will pop open the Home app and then you scan the QR code and then step through the Home app process to add 6- Once added then switch quickly to your other iOS device (iPad in my case) but already have the Meross app open. 7- Select the + on the home screen and it will show a new device needs to be added 8- Click OK and then go back to the home screen of the Meross app and then select Account. A firmware update shows available 9- Apply the Firmware and Bob’s your Uncle. I hope this helps anyone else that this happens too. I really like my Meross plugs. They are very quick to respond.

> 3 dayI have purchased about a dozen of these for different houses. They are generally easy to set up with HomeKIt. However, there are a number of inconsistencies that seem to point to manufacturing issues: 1) Out of the box, some dont set up easily, others do. Same wifi, same location. 2) Some seem to lose connectivity once set up, others dont. Again, same wifi and same location. A few will frequently be updating when I want to control them. I like them, like the price point and buy in sets of, but may have to look for alternatives if 25-50% of the pack arent useable.

Greater than one weekBought this to use with Apple HomeKit. Constantly have to reset and add devices back to home because they will stop working. Very poor device. Really wish I hadn’t bought it.

> 3 dayAfter struggling with a set from Kasa, these are working perfectly. I added them to the Apple Home app using the QR codes on each plug, no need to install a 3rd party app. I just works, I added them to my HomeKit automations in just a few minutes and I was all set.

> 3 daySo these smart plugs worked really great, and the response was quick as well. But then all of a sudden 3 out of 4 stopped working. The one working had not been connected previously. And the 3 that didn’t work anymore had been connected to devices. I had re-started, re-booted, erased them countless times from the home app and the Meross app itself but the same issue everytime. It would tell me either to restart the device before adding, or restart the device because it already belonged to another home. I called customer service and followed all the instructions they asked for, which was pretty much the same thing as rebooting the devices, they asked for things like sending them piks, videos of me restarting each device, and codes for each device as well. They responded fairly quickly but up until now they just stopped replying for no reason. It’s been almost a week and still no response. This really sucks because I’ve never had to write a bad review especially only because the customer service stopped replying for no reason so I feel like if they just didn’t want to deal with the issue anymore. I really liked the smart plugs and wish they could start working again because spending $40 on 3 out of 4 plugs feels wrong. But oh well i guess, still hoping that they will reply Update: i was told to be patient and that my replacements would be delivered in the 4th of February 2022. It’s now the 9th and i am very disappointed in how the customer service is handling this. Meross send me an email to contact another company i guess and still nothing. No update no email stating it would be late.

> 3 daythese plugs are mostly great. i’ve been using 4-6 of them for a couple of years now, and they connect easily to homekit so no complaints there. however, they increasingly become disconnected from homekit at random times. for instance, i’ll turn on a lamp using homekit and when i go to turn it off, the plug isn’t responding. so then i need to remove the plug and go through the whole process again. it doesn’t happen with my other homekit accessories. it’s not the end of the world, but it is annoying

> 3 dayAs long as you’re using a 2.4 ghz it’s so easy to install. Use them for a light, candle, Christmas tree, etc! Can be a little bulky depending if you have furniture behind the outlet but overall no complaints. Led on the unit as well as a button is a bonus. I have everything setup on automation, it’s pretty neat stuff if you’re trying to start on your smart home on a budget!
