> 3 dayThe Idea to use a brass crush ring to hold the boden tube in was a bad one. It works well but these tubes wear out and with no spares and No instructions on the Size of the crush connector to buy more Youre in for a world of Hurt if you ever have a issue with your Boden tube. The extruder works alright Doesnt seem worth the price It is High quality but I havent noticed a Huge difference between this and a cheap aluminum duel gear.

Greater than one weekThis is the best built, simple, easy to install, quality extruder I have ever used. This was installed on a Vyper and it really cleaned things up. Little pricey, but for quality Ill pay the additional.

02-06-2025Best upgrade I’ve done so far, however… My Ender 3 Pro came with the extruder stepper motor with a press fit gear, which was a pain to remove, but I was able to use it once I did. I highly recommend buying a stepper motor with the flat shaft if your printer doesn’t have one already. Removing the old gear is not worth the trouble considering a new motor is under $20 from Creality, but if you’re impatient like me, it can be done lol. **if you do decide to use the press fit motor, make sure you don’t over-tighten the grub screw on the new gear. I made that mistake and a crack formed on the gear, I was able to get it replaced though and the new one has been working perfectly for over 2 months.

> 3 dayThe brass compression nuts are NOT reusable. So why when this product is 3 times the price of others does it not include more than 1 extra compression nut. Its for A BOWDEN system which can need constant bowden tube switching yet the compression nuts are one and done. You can use them once but never again as they will not fit over fresh bowden tubing. If your gonna make them single use then but a bag of 20+ in it you cheap donkeys!

> 3 dayAs part of the installation, you need to cut the bowden tube from the extruder into a 45 degree point. That was annoying, trying to bevel it correctly. I would have preferred an included tube, with the cut already made. Other than that, it works well with PLA, Nylon and TPU.

Greater than one weekThe automatic removal of the filament makes this worth it alone. This extruder is amazing on my kobra max.

> 3 dayI really like this extruder. While the extruder included with the Ender 6 is all metal, it is not truly dual gear as advertised. The follower gear is more of a spline than a gear. The Micro-Swiss extruder is a true dual gear and has a very positive feed. Installation is very straight forward and it just works. Plus, Made In The USA, always a plus for me. This, added to the Micro-Swiss all metal hotend, has made my Ender 6 a dream to operate. Yes, this extruder is a bit more expensive e than others on Amazon but you won’t regret the extra expense.

> 3 dayThis is the right product... If youre looking for an aftermarket extruder, you should be looking for something with dual gears and a notch in the gears for filament location. If you know that much, then youll also know that the next available option is almost TRIPLE the price. Why I picked this one isnt based on price, but due to design. Having the gears open allows for easy cleaning when needed. The hardened steel teeth in the gears will get gunked up with softer materials when the spring tension isnt correct. However, setting the tension is as simple as tuning the grippy knob/nut at the back (easily accessible). The only downside for CR-6 SE users is that you have to print an adapter plate. Its a very simple part, but if youre having issues with your 3D printer, it may be hard to actually print something. Just saying ;) Happy printing!
