Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 – 13.5 Touch-Screen – Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory – 1TB Solid State Drive – Matte Black

This review is focused on the hardware only, it’s not about Windows 10.

My wife was in the market for a new laptop for school. This seemed like the best option and indeed it has been amazing. It is super fast to boot, the windows face recognition works great and it is not filled with bloatware. It is not built for games, but it is an amazing laptop for productivity and the specs with an i7, 16gb of memory and the option to change the NvMe storage it will last us for years to come!

Battery life and screen quality both terrific.

Really do love my Windows laptop, but Im a bit disappointed as how the charger just stopped working, less than one year after purchase.

Bought this as my previous laptop decided to die before my last semester of nursing school. When I was looking into buying laptops, I did a lot of research and was leaning towards a MacBook Pro but couldn’t justify the cost for what the hardware would be offering. Plus limited gaming ability and while I’m familiar with how a Mac operates, I’m most comfortable with windows.

Absolute worst laptop I have ever owned. I have had to send it back to Microsoft and get a replacement TWICE because it just did not work properly at all. I would not recommend this laptop unless you want to be on the phone with the Microsoft support team for the rest of your life!!

Ive had the MS Surface Laptop 3 for three months now. There are some things I love about it, particularly how fast it starts up, but Ive also experienced a range of issues that I wouldnt expect for a laptop of this price. Most notably, the screen has uneven lighting (most noticeable when looking at an all white background) and the audio and video are frequently out of sync. For these reasons I wouldnt recommend this model laptop.

Good for school. Fast and efficient!

Beware of the Magnetic connection power cord connection. It failed within a couple of months. Customer service was very slow to resolve my problem, I had to purchase a cord to use for the 3 months of waiting for their replacement. Incidentally the purchased power cord magnetic connections also failed. Now, several months later, my computer just went out of the one year warranty by 11days and it is on the way to my company IT people because it appears the touchscreen has failed. My first and last Microsoft laptop purchase.
