> 3 dayFor the price, this backpack did everything I expected it to. I dont use the bladder. I bought it for running, to carry a change of clothes and other essentials. It feels secure when I run. I am able to fit an outfit or fleece jacket in the bigger section, a meal in the smaller section, and pair of flats in the bungee cords on the outside. The side pocket fits my iPhone 6s with a slim case on it, but Ive found that the backpack becomes unbalanced and less comfortable when I use one of the side pockets. Ive also used the backpack on short hikes to carry my nalgene and energy bars, and I clip bear spray to the waist strap. My only complaint is that it doesnt have credit card and money pockets inside.

05-04-2025Bought this as a gift for my brother who loves hiking. He is very excited to use it. Previously brought water bottles, but since this has a bladder, it will be more convenient for him.

> 3 dayMy girlfriend took her pack out to Arizona for a week long hike. She was really impressed with the comfort and easy it provided while she traveled. She was really happy with the way it kept her water cool as well, highly recommend this product!

> 3 dayI bought this for a day-long hike in New York City. Never having used a hydration backpack before, I had lots of questions that were not answered by the materials that came in the package. I had to keep returning to the Questions section here as well as squint at the small photos on this page. Ultimately, through the answers and trial and error I figured out that the paper at the mouth of the bladder was supposed to be removed (I thought it was a filter), how to screw on the cap to prevent leaking (a little tricky) and to sip water through the tube. But I had to do this the night before the hike and it was unnecessarily stressful. By contrast, the manufacturer of the inexpensive hiking poles I bought created a clear video that showed me how to adjust them. The bladder holds a lot of water, and the pack fit comfortably on my small frame. The problem was that the pack is so small there wasnt room for much else. The weather on the day of my walk varied from very cold to warm with some rain so I had to pack a light down jacket and an umbrella. That wasnt enough room for other things and it was difficult to access them quickly. As a result, I ended up carrying a tote bag with the things to which I needed immediate access, including my cell phone. Although the bladder was supposed to be leak-proof and is in its own compartment, I couldnt risk ruining my phone. For such a long walk, it was awkward to to have the additional burden of the tote bag. So I would recommend this for a very brief hike, but such a short walk probably wouldnt require a bladder with a capacity of a two liters. It also might work as a running backpack if you traveled with the bare minimum.

> 3 dayI love this pouch! I was nervous about the plastic taste from the bag but after a few washes, its gone. The bag is a good size and I can hold many items. I often pack a flannel, book, snacks, bug spray, suntan lotion in the front zipper. Then I keep my phone and keys in the wrap-around pockets. Highly recommended pack for hiking

> 3 dayWe bought this for a 14 mile spartan race and it was perfect! It wasn’t heavy and that was a huge plus for me. Water stations can be few and far between and this kept the water cold and held more than I expected. It kept other items dry and safe. Highly recommended!

> 3 dayI have always loved hiking, but I just started hiking regularly. I had just gotten a new hiking buddy (puppy) and I knew I needed a backpack to carry the extras, and to have a camel pack inside so I didnt have to carry a water bottle and could get sips when needed. This backpack is amazing. Its compact, but big enough to fit all the extras. I would highly recommend this backpack.
