> 24 hourUpdate 2/21/2020: A little over a year later and I still havent bothered to hardwire the network in my new house. Ive continued to use these two motorola MoCA adapters and havent had any issues. I just speedtest.net tested my internet download speed and Im getting 199.94 Mbps. Im pretty sure it wouldnt improve any by wiring the ethernet directly to the router, but I also have not tested my intranet speeds so I dont know how fast these adapters can max out at. Im impressed with these adapters. They are less expensive than similar Actiontec Moca 2.0 adapters but still perform well. They come with a coax cable, an ethernet cable, and a POE filter with each adapter. Its nice they included these in case this is your first Moca setup, I already had them so I didnt use the ones provided so I cant comment on their quality. Ive had two Actiontec Moca 1.0 adapters for years and they worked pretty well for my TiVos. I just moved to a new house and based on where the coax outlets are, I decided to go the route of Moca 2.0 until I can get around to hard wiring my Ethernet network. Here is my setup and how its performing so far... I have a TiVo Bolt with built in Moca 2.0, one Actiontec Moca 1.0 adapter, and these two Motarola Moca adapters. One Motarola adapter is setup at the modem/router, the other is setup in the other room with 4 computers hooked into it through a gigabit switch, I also have one of the older Actiontec Moca adapters at a TiVo premiere in a bedroom. Both TiVos stream flawlessly, and all four computers get 180 Mbps which is what they were getting when I had them directly wired to the modem/router. So basically, this is just as good as wired ethernet for internet and are working great for what I need them to do right now. I cant say for sure how fast these transfer data since I havent used them in that capacity just yet. I do have a Diskstation NAS I still need to hook up, once I do I may update this review to reflect if/how well it transfers data above 180 Mbps. If they perform well with transferring that data, I may just skip running ethernet cable through the rest of the house and use these instead.

> 24 hourAt first I couldn’t get this to work but the Motorola team helped me several days (when I had the time to work on it) until it was fixed. I almost put 4 stars due to it not being as easy to install as the directions said. Pay very close attention to this part. On your incoming line from outside, if the coaxial splitter is not 1200mhz or higher, it will not work. Took us a while to figure out that was one of the reasons. I had to go out and buy a 1.5Ghz splitter and that helped a lot. This is not at fault to the device itself. Most cable companies install a basic one and I have 1Gig internet service and that’s what it came with. If you have any issues, trust me, you can call or email the Motorola team and they will take as long as you need to get it fixed. Their customer service alone deserves the 5 stars and now that we got this thing working it deserves more than 5 stars.

> 24 hourMoved in to a house with coax in every room and spotty wifi. Adding two MoCA points was much cheaper than replacing with cat6 cables! Great speed (it is not the limiting factor), reliable, and although it’s difficult to wrap your head around, install was straightforward. If you plug in a wifi point to your moca point for range extending, remember to plug the ethernet cable into the router’s regular LAN port, not its ‘uplink’ port. Otherwise it will not communicate with the main router and just keep trying to be a mesh point! A speed test will help verify that everything is working.

> 24 hourUsed devices as media converters to use the coax connections in the house for extending Ethernet connections to wifi nodes. Worked great.

> 24 hourMy apartment was already wired with cable, so I was able to get the effect of having Ethernet without any extra work.

> 24 hourVery easy to install. Save time on trying to run rj45 cables around the house. It is not cheap but if the product last long time then I am OK with that.

> 24 hourI have used a number of different electronics to try to expand and improve the wi-fi in our home. I have extenders and just did not feel they were working as well as hoped. Then I read about these MoCa adapters - and took a chance. They really do work. They are actually easy to install - only took a few minutes. Follow the instructions closely and youll have good luck. I noticed an immediate improvement. My ONLY disappointment was this - The ONE TV I wanted to hook up to the MoCa by ethernet did NOT have an ethernet input on it... so darn. I put it on a different TV and it worked like a charm.
