I have a small cabin that has a cable to it , but is on the outer limits of wifi signal from my house. These MOCA adapters have enabled a good reliable signal over cable.

Fast delivery, easy install and high level throuput. because its a recent installation I dont have an opinion on the durability of the equipment. I hope Motorola is up to the companys reputation.

Very easy to install. Ran into a small problem when I could not get the link light to come on. Pretty silly mistake but both units must be installed for the link light to actually light. In hind sight, i guess that is logical but nowhere in the instructions does it state that. Scratched my head for about 30 minutes until the little light went on in my brain. Works Great!!!

    Greater than one week

I gave up waiting for the Actiontec ECB6250 to enter retail and got two of these last week along with a Holland Electronics 4-Way MoCA splitter. I dont have TV service so I put a termination cap on the In port of the MoCA splitter, connected my four rooms to the Out ports and put termination caps on the COAX outputs in the rooms where I wasnt testing. Running iperf3 (3.6) through three runs to/from my office room Workstation and each COAX outlet throughout the house saw average throughput speeds of 947 Mbps down and 853 Mbps up. By comparison my Wireless AC Router (ASUS RT-AC68U) + N Routers (ASUS RT-N66Us) acting as APs (with my PCs and Laptop connected to such via their Gigabit LAN adapters) in each room can sustain anywhere from 250 to 330 Mbps BUT require me to have to frequently change the 5GHz channel due to inept neighbors/renters and/or their inept Routers. Ill be buying two more soon!

I used these adapters to connect my remote mesh nodes back to the router. Work flawlessly and trivial to setup.

These things are plug and play. I highly recommend trying this route before paying someone to retrofit ethernet drops all over your house.

Have internet coming into house only (we use Netflix,Hulu, etc. only) in basement, Hooked up new box to back of router with cat V cable, then to outgoing coax cable that goes to room and plugged in outlet. Next, at far side of house in bedroom I Hooked up wall coax to box, box to PlayStation with cat V cable and plugged in. Checked with laptop and signal is great. Plugged into PlayStation and all good.

It will not work with Comcast. Tried everything and even had the rep on the phone try to make it work for almost 2 hours. We were both curious if it was human error or just incompatible. As soon as the filters are installed and the MoCA is enabled via the gateway; all the WiFi and internet went down. Tried a few times and it just kept occurring. tested it on my friends Fios set up and it worked amazingly.

This works great! However, you cant install it using the Tivo MOCA Bridge instructions. You have to set up the Motorola MOCA adapter as an independent device in front of (input side) the cable modem using both the in and out cable connections of the MOCA device and use the Ethernet cable to connect to one of the ports on the router. Same thing when connecting to the Tivo device using a tuning adapter. Connect a second Motorola MOCA adapter on the network (input) side of the tuning adapter using both the in and out connections of the MOCA device and then plug the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port of the Tivo. Once youve done this, you have Ethernet LAN data over cable in all rooms having a cable outlet. No splitters required. So if youre using a Tivo Mini in another room, simply connect the cable directly to the back of the Mini and configure it to say its connected to a MOCA network. It works like a champ! The Mini will see the main Tivo box and will use one of its tuners to display live TV as well as all recorded programs. Easy to do and works well if you follow these instructions and disregard the Tivo MOCA adapter instructions. As a side benefit, your Tivo will now use the wired LAN connection to connect to the Tivo network for downloading program information (much faster than wireless) and it will allow your TV to access the Internet using this same faster wired network. No more buffering when streaming video!

needed a new wired Ethernet drop in a location where it would be VERY difficult to pull new cable. But, there was an existing RG-6 coax drop nearby. So, I put these MOCA adapters at each end of the drop, pulled the Ethernet from one to a switch, and from the other to the office equipment. Works perfectly.
