NETGEAR 16-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (JGS516) - Desktop or Rackmount, and Limited Lifetime Protection

I have one of these in my house where I ran Category 6 Ethernet cable throughout. I use every port on the switch and I have to say that I am impressed. I have streamed video as well as shared large data files throughout my home network to which a variety of devices connect (computers, game systems, etc) and everything runs wonderfully. As one of the other reviewers said, simply put, it delivers on exactly what it is supposed to.

Works great so far. Installation was easy.

I have owned several Netgear Prosafe series switches and I have always been happy with their quality.

Very good upgrade for my clients office network. Just plugged it in, transferred the Cat6 cables and everything lit up. Speed immediately picked up and my client pcs stopped having network time-outs that they were experiencing with the old switch. Fan is not noisy at all like some of the other reviews have said. Its quieter than the server its next to.

Doing its job quite well and saved me space.

I installed this unit on a job and have been very happy with the function. I did not have my line tester with me so tested with my laptop just to see if I could connect. Later when I retested I found three lines that were crossed or otherwise incorrect but the switch fixed the errors and all were working anyway. One slight problem is that the fan is a bit loud. I installed the unit in an office space and the sound is noticable. It does not seem to bother the workers so I left the unit as mounted.

Works as a good switch should with no fuss.

The product is a good product. I do not have any issues with it functions. It preforms as advertised. My only issue is that the port indicator lights are on the face of the unit adjacent to the inputs. Id prefer the input on the rear and the indicator light on the front of the unit.
