It works well. I have it plugged into the back of the gateway where there are only 2 ethernet ports. It improves internet stability. My house has wifi obstacles. Running ethernet cable from this is much better than struggling with weak wifi connections.

I very much like the price of this unit. $18 for an 8 port gigabit switch from a reputable brand is an incredible deal. The metal chassis highly impressed me, as well, and harkens back to the metal bodied D-Link 10/100 switches of the early 2000s. I only hope this will be similarly unkillable.
