Simple unmanaged switch which works well. I went from 5 ports TP link to 8 ports Neatgear. While both works well, Netgear has brighter activities lights - maybe good or bad depending on your need, but my basement is bumping with blinking lights like a nightclub.

No need for tech support. Up and running in minutes. All the tech in my home office goes through this so I can see whats happening at a glance and it allowed me to write them all from the one CAT6 that was dropped in the room by the builder

I bought 2 of these devices and 1 works perfectly. However, the 2nd one conveniently went out around the end of the product support window listed on Amazon under my order details. However I still have a 1 year manufacturer hardware warranty. The thing just will not respond and has 4 solid lights that never change. No network connectivity whatsoever. I just need a replacement! Overall a good product but contacting NetGear and actually getting someone on the line with any kind of knowledge or ability to help is pathetic!! Ive been on hold for over an hour bouncing around from one department to another getting transferred multiple times. Each time Im assured that they are transferring me to the appropriate group that can assist with support on my specific device and each time I was told they need to transfer me again. Ridiculous! Would like to give support negative stars! Most likely will not buy this product or anything from NetGear ever again.

I purchased mine to be able to monitor my amplifiers through software. The ports light up when engaged that was a selling point for me. It does the job im very happy with it. Nicely constructed not cheap. You have to download an app to initiate it.

Still using it at home after several years. Very good. 100% reliable. Runs continuously all year around. It is extremely reliable.

Got this switch when I was switching over to HULU for multiple tv streams to multiple rooms in the house. Works absolutely great for this. Would recommend this switch for networking multiple rooms in a home.
