> 24 hourInstallation is easy if your valves are the right type. I had a plumber install mine since he had to change out a stuck water shutoff valve. The mechanism sense a very slight amount of water from the install and immediately shut off. It reset after the sensor was wiped dry. I havent had the need for it to work due to a leak, but was happy it tested out well. I am satisfied with my purchase.

> 24 hourHappy with the product overall. It correct shut off water twice times over 2 years... only issue is the last time it would not reopen valves (kept sensing water even after drying senor for 48 hours). This is my second purchase, still a good value for the money it saved me.

> 24 hourI received a defective unit that triggered a false alarm, and the system wont reset itself. I contacted the customer service that put me in touch with the engineers responsible for designing the unit. They were very helpful, sent me two new units via overnight shipping. Unfortunately, the new unit also has the same issue - triggered a false alarm and wont reset. The problem is that without reset, water wont turn on. There is no way to overwrite the command. I am going to stop using it and may be even get a new unit. I couldnt be more pleased with the customer service but this product is not ready for consumers at this point.

> 24 hourSo we havent had any flooding yet, but i did test it on install and it seemed to be working great. It was very easy to install, and they even included in this kit the extra outlet adaptor that I would need since my laundry room only has a plug for the washer and dryer. That was a super nice touch, as I thought when I opened it, oh $%!%!@, I am going to have to go to the store now and get the adaptor before the laundry installation guy shows up in an hour. The laundry installer guy seemed to think it was a good idea, for what its worth. My laundry room is essentially an adapted closet, so this is SUPER useful in allowing me to turn off the water before going on vacation, as I would not be able to reach the taps otherwise.

> 24 hourFollowed and reviewed installation instructions several times and product did not work. It would not permit water to flow to washing machine Controller on this unit was defective. When plugged into wall none of the lights came on. Ordered a replacement unit from Amazon and it installed and works perfectly. Suggest you plug in control unit before doing anything else to be sure it works. A light should come on.

> 24 hourI purchased this product at the end of February. It was working fine and everything was great until this morning. I attempted to do a load of laundry and my washer alerted me that no water was flowing. I checked the alarm and it was off for some reason (there was not a leak and hoses were fine). All lights were off on the alarm. I pushed the reset button and nothing happened. I unplugged the alarm and plugged it into another outlet and it worked for a second and then kept tripping the GFI and then it finally just died. The frustrating thing is when it broke it shut the water off so no matter what we had to pull out the stacking washer and dryer from a tight space so it took us over an hour to pull them out and unhook the alarm connections to then do a direct hookup with no alarm protection. What is the warranty on this thing and to be honest I dont even want it anymore as why was it tripping the breaker (not safe) and I dont trust it anymore. 100.00 bucks down the drain I am not happy

> 24 hourWe just installed the MyGuard Automatic Laundry Water Shut-Off and installation was easy. Alarm worked with very little water when testing. Appreciate the extra 3 outlet water tap, although not needed. My only complaint is that instructions said to drill a 5/16 pilot hole for the drywall screw anchors. This made too big a hole for the included anchors, so we used larger ones we had. The pilot hole either needs to be drilled smaller, or include the right size anchors for a 5/16 pilot hole.

> 24 hourI bought this to protect against major leaks in a 2nd floor laundry room. The product is well made and packaged, and includes good instructions. The included hardware for wall mounting was cheap (as is the case with most products), so I used my own. The included template for marking the holes was a nice touch. I first set it up in the kitchen to verify the operation of the valves and the water sensor......everything worked great. Once I connected the fittings to the original valves in the wall, I realized that I would not be able to push the washer back to its previous location. Would have lost a few inches do to the electronic valves and fitting. So I decided to cut slots in the plastic housing in the wall to allow the valves to move further into the wall. That worked great and allowed the washer to slide all the way back to its original position. I like the indicators on the control unit that let you know if the valves are open or closed. It also has a vacation mode that can be used to close the valves with the push of a button. And the valves also close in the event of a power failure. I am confident that this product will perform if necessary, which is worth the cost and time to install.
