> 3 dayA much awaited lens for my D7100 although it fits most Nikons. It was a toss up between the 50mm or 35mm and the latter eventually won after I sought advice from other photographers. This really is good quality prime glass which opens up to F1.8G to let in plenty of light.

> 3 dayThis lens take the most beautiful images. So professional looking even though I am not a pro, but I need nice pics for my work and events.

> 3 dayThis lens is exactly what you want in a prime lens. 35mm converts to 50mm prime when using a crop sensor camera like the Nikon D5200. It is simple to use, crisp and clear photos. Also the price is right for a prime lens. Highly recommend to anyone with a crop sensor Nikon camera.

> 3 dayThis lens is amazing for 35mm 1.8. I got to even use it on my Sony camera, making it feel like a 50mm 1.8. The focus is good with ample lighting on my Nikon D5500, I used it mostly for landscape and hardly any portraits. I heard 35mm is good for portraits too and it has helped me mostly on getting some astro shots.

> 3 dayI have a D5600 which came with a 18-55mm and 70-300mm lens. Reading up on the focus lengths, the 35mm was recommended, especially for portrait. Not that I do a lot of portraits, but there are times when I want pictures that are exactly as my eye sees them and this lens delivers. When I carry the camera, not sure what I will be taking pictures of, this lens is the one I use. The pictures are great. Better than great. I am always surprised at the clarity and composition which matches exactly as I saw it. With the other lens, I tend to get distracted by options (zoom in or out) and spend a lot of time composing. With this lens, its almost point and shoot. Great lens.

> 3 dayCan focus on all Nikon DSLRs. I still feel like my 50mm AF is sharper. Then again, Ive used the 50mm for a long time and only have a hundred or so shots with the 35mm under my belt. Since its a DX lens it gives a true 35mm view whereas my 50mm is an FX and almost has too much zoom for night on the town snap shots. With the 50mm I felt like I was always a step too close and with the 35mm I dont have to take that step back to get my shot.
