Pues eso, aunque no era para mi era un regalo para un familiar y esta muy satisfecho con el objetivo porque cumple con sus expectativas: pequeño, ligero, gran luminosidad, calidad de la imagen... Una gran adquisición para una focal muy versátil. Compra recomendada. Descartad modelos similares de marcas chinas. Por un poco más tendréis con este objetivo muchas satisfacciones.

I bought this as an affordable prime lens to use on my D5100 in low light conditions. As such, it works really well for me and gives, to my eye, superb results. I leave it to others better qualified to comment in detail on its technical performance. The plastic-build is not an issue for me. Touch wood Ive never dropped any lens yet. Whilst I respect those who maintain that they never remove this lens and use it all the time I will continue to carry my long zoom and macro lenses around with me.

My first Nikon DSLR lens. First reaction? I wonder how long this thing will work... At least its lite weight doesnt make it After 15 months - I love it! Its fast and sharp - and is the normal format fl for the DX format. Its lite weight hasnt interfered with its function, although it feels a bit tight going on and coming off (I just received my second D7000 body - its just as tight on/off it.). Ive added a couple of new Nikkor lenses that seem easier to take change - but still, no wear or problems. The lens is sharp to f2.8 - quite acceptable wide open. I love my 85 f3.5 macro - but the 35 f1.8 would be the one lens Id keep if I could only have one. I just cant get over the lite weight... my large Domke bag of Canon FD lenses is probably the reason! Anyone need some nice paper weights?

Ive been shooting with Nikkor glass for many years. This is the first lens Ive had that was not good. I simply looked at the diaphragm pattern and it had flaws in it. So I sent it back. Im sure I got a bad copy (so be weary of yours), but aside from that, its a great fast prime that will complement the rest of your lenses.

Getting some great photos since I started using this lens

Blows away the kit lenses in terms of sharpness and aperture. Low light pics seem like those taken with flash on. Its that good! VR would have been a great addition for those with shaky hands. But this lens is a good bang for buck and its fast!
