I’ve had the monitor for only a day now, but I love it. The picture quality is great, the display is buttery smooth, and set up was easy. I have 2 complaints, but I would still recommend this monitor at this price point (25% off, at $210). First complaint is brightness. It doesn’t get very bright, and it’s very noticeable with a second monitor next to it. This isn’t a huge deal for me, but it’s something worth considering. Second complaint is G-Sync. The description for this product says it’s “G-Sync Compatible”. This monitor does not have G-Sync. It has AMD’s Free Sync. If you have a 10 series or higher graphics card from Nvidia, there’s no problem. But if you have a 900 series or lower, you won’t be able to use G-Sync. I thought this was a bit of false advertising, as Free Sync isn’t mentioned anywhere. With that being said, I haven’t seen any screen tearing, so I can’t complain about performance. I am using a GTX 960 graphics card. If you have a 10 series or higher graphics card, I recommend this monitor 100%. If you don’t, look elsewhere before deciding on this one. This really isn’t a bad option at all though

I had been shopping and comparing features and qualities for a gaming monitor for about 6 months – I wanted: 27” to 32”, curved, 4K and hi-refresh rate – there are a few to compare and size up at those specs – once I understood the panel types (IPS, VA and TN), free-sync and all that, I knew what to look for and at what price – The monitors amazon carried, that I liked, are: a couple of MSI models, Acer, Sceptre, BenQ just to name a few – since this is my first BIG, late model gaming monitor, refresh rate was important – also quality and resolution – then price – here’s what I found: a lot of comparable features from known brands – and varied pricing – I decided not to go with 4K since refresh was nominal 60 hz and any faster was way expensive – so, I decided to go with 2K and 144 hz – once I carefully considered my space and proximity, 27” would be excellent (it’s actually huge) – so with that, I narrowed the field to Acer, Sceptre and MSI (specs and price) - Having read the reviews, all 3 were rated 4 stars by hundreds of buyers - The MSI models were not sold thru amazon prime and would take over a week to arrive, and they’re kinda pricy (rgb and other fancies) – the Sceptre was over $70 more than the Acer, with all the same specs – so, I chose the Acer ED273 – the most recent reviews said the Acer was a very good choice and I agreed that this has the best features and value – I was right! This is a great monitor, it was ready to play right out of the box and, overall, it has exceeded my expectations – Here’s a few things of interest: build quality, excellent - overall aesthetics: thin bezel, slim design (no big bulges), nice finish, flat matt screen, just right curve, excellent picture quality – the stand is heavy with a metal base and reinforced vertical post and mount (vesa 100) – My only gripe would be the separate power brick – but for the price, I’m OK with it – the port sockets are located center-back facing down – this makes it difficult to find and insert the video and power connectors – you’ll also get an HDMI and DP cable each – tried as I might, I couldn’t find any info on cable length (my desktop setup requires a longer cable, at least 6’), so instead of ordering a longer cable, I’d wait and see if the shipped cables would work – they didn’t – they are about 4’ long – a little short for me – so I used a 6’ HDMI cable I had laying around until I received an ordered 6’ DP cable from prime (about $10) – on HDMI the refresh is capped at 120 hz – with the DP cable I’m now using, refresh is the full 144 hz – So, overall, I’m very happy with the Acer ED273 – quality, features and price combine to make this an excellent buy – it comes packaged double boxed and incapsulated in foam, plastic film and protective cloth - 5 stars!

What I mean by that is that Im not nor will I proclaim to be, some professional in the field of gaming displays. I have however been playing on an old school vizio 1080p 60hz tv for 9 years. I bought this because I received advice from friends that I desperately needed a display upgrade and that they recommended a monitor with a high refresh rate preferably 120hz and a low response time. So I found this and it came today. Right off the bat the packaging was fantastic, there wasnt a trillion little pieces that were a pain in the ass to install, the stand to my knowledge feels like pure metal and is extremely sturdy and the best part??? It CAME with a 165hz ready displayport cable! I hooked this sucker up and immediately noticed the difference, I mean seriously no doubt I could literally tell the difference in overall quality and gameplay instantaneously. Very seldom has an item taken my breath away over the sheer quality but this very much so did. Now dont misunderstand me, if you have more money OBVIOUSLY theres better products with better image quality but for 179.99 I truly believe I got away with theft. I am so beyond pleased at this product. I reckon my only complaint would be the speakers but who in the blue hell even uses though for pc gaming..lol I definitely without a shadow of doubt recommend this to anyone looking to amp up their pc gaming experience. Its just so good... P.S the friggin screwdriver that comes with it is a bossssssss

    Greater than one week

I bought this monitor in December 2022, and it has been working incredibly well without any problems until today. Unfortunately, it suddenly stopped turning on. I tried troubleshooting and checked different outlets, but the monitor just wont receive any power. I dont want to criticize the monitor too harshly because it had been working perfectly until this happened. The display quality was great. Its worth mentioning that this could be an isolated issue since I havent seen similar complaints from other reviews. Despite the current setback, I want to provide a fair review. Prior to this issue, the monitor has been excellent, delivering on its promises and meeting my expectations. I hope that the power problem can be resolved soon.

Ive put more than a few hundred hours of screen time on this monitor so far and it has been flawless. Its packed with built in features, and it will run at max resolution and refresh for hours on end without turning my office into a sauna.

The monitor is beautiful and the picture is amazing. I put a solid hour gaming on it right out the box and am impressed with it. However, be CAREFUL removing the plastic/tape protective stuff around the edge of the screen. That stuff is REALLY on there, if your not careful just removing it roughly COULD damage the screen. I saw at least one review where it “arrived damaged” and it looks to me they pulled the tape off too hard and hurt the screen. Just be gentle and get to gaming! You won’t regret it at the price! Also, IT HAS BUILT IN SPEAKERS!!!!! They aren’t great, but better then nothing if you don’t have a headset or external speakers. Very nice surprise to me.
