This is my first 144 hz monitor. I previously had a 27 1080p 60hz ASUS VE278. The curved screen for 27 inches is definitely noticeable compared to the ASUS 27 right next to it. For those thinking this will enhance your experience, it honestly does. Anything smaller that 27 and is curved will have little effect on your viewing experience. Since my monitor is definitely more than 1.5 feet away from my face, I dont really notice the pixelation others say exists comparing 27 1080p and 24 1080p. And, by golly gee whiz, those looking to get a kick out of 144hz from 60 hz, its CRAZY smooth. Since I have my 60hz monitor right next to me, it is noticeable all the time. This monitor is also a fingerprint magnet. Concerns: When I was first installing the monitor, I had difficulty getting rid of a purple vertical line that was on my monitor. Now, I knew that I did not have a completely defective model, as I saw this monitor working totally fine for the minute it was installed, and I have no idea what I did but the vertical line is gone now. Now, I believe that the issue might be in the DisplayPort cable that comes with it. The protective plastic shell around the base of the port actually just broke apart today. Looking at the materials inside, its pretty cheap, but I am planning on getting a longer DisplayPort cable since I need one anyways. All in all, it was one of the cheapest 27 1080p 144hz monitors out there and is definitely worth. I hope there will be no issues in the future and will keep this review updated.

I ordered this for my gaming pc to replace my 4k monitor (its good but wanted faster frames). I like it and now run 2 of them and get a bigger display area and more frames.

i have had these for a bit and wanted to wait to do a review, i bought 2 of these to replace 2 32 inch tcl tvs and i must say as for me the visual was something to get use to going from big to a lil smaller but worth the money and the smaller aspect. the clearity alone makes up for not having a few extra inches. remember guys its not how big but how we use it!

Is this a perfect gaming monitor? By no means... but if you arent expecting the world and are looking for a GOOD budget monitor for gaming that isnt going to break the bank you cant go wrong. If you are worried about longevity get the squaretrade coverage like I did. Definitely has a high-end look and feel, image is very crisp and clear and the monitor is bright as balls. Very minimal bezel around the display and the controls are accessed via a small joystick/button the back of the monitor which I find to work rather well. It includes HDMI, DVI, and Displayport inputs, as well as audio inputs but Im not using the speakers in mine so I cant comment on the quality. I presume they sound about like $200 monitor speakers would sound so probably not very Bose-esque. There is some visible light leak when the display is on a black screen but honestly this isnt really noticeable when playing games, at least not to me anyway so its not something I care about. Also the LCD panel gets a little darker right at the left and ridge edges about 1/8 inch from the bezel but again not hugely noticeable (see 2nd photo) I have yet to find any dead pixels although as per the manual its only guaranteed that 99.95% of the pixels will function which is strange but okay. I did have some issues with the initial setup. I first connected it with displayport and it kept saying there was no input. Rebooted the PC and monitor and same thing so I switched to a DVI cable (not included) and it worked fine. I tried the DP cable again about an hour later and it worked, no issues since. Dont let negative reviews dissuade you. This is not a bad monitor for the money and something like 3-5% of electronics fail out of the box so all the people saying MY monitor didnt work so theyre all junk!!! are just a bit short-sighted. Also shipping carriers like to throw stuff around so that adds to the DOA numbers Im sure.
