> 3 dayNot sure where powerful bleach smell is coming from but I dont smell it. Almost everything causes my allergies to act up. I can smell fires burning from across the street 6 houses up. I would say I have a sensitive nose. I read these reviews and smelled the item and I didnt smell any sort of bleach smell. I absolutely hate bleach and its smell. Mine did have a slight smell but not anywhere near the apparently mind blowing smell that others have stated. It does have a faint odor but its not nearly as bad or as terrible as these reviews are saying. It is so faint, that you have to actually hold it up to your nose and breath to get the faintest wiff of any kind of odor. It isnt terrible it isnt bad. It doesnt even really smell. This is the only reason I am writing this review. I have no idea where these people are getting the smell from, but for me it isnt from this. I would say the only reviews that are fake or Ill informed are the ones stating that it smells like chlorine bleach.

> 3 dayI don’t know what is in this but it has a very clean smell and keeps our fridge smelling fresh. Our food doesn’t have any weird flavors creeping in to leftovers either. I subscribe to get these regularly and move the old one to the freezer then put the fresh one in the fridge. Then I rotate the freezer one into the bottom of our trash can. The open design keeps the air flowing through the powder like a filter and no leaks like we had with the baking soda box.

> 3 dayThe refrigerator in my friend’s camp shut off well the refrigerator/freezer was full of groceries. He did not know it had shut off until a week later, in 90 degree weather ! Needless to say, the refrigerator was so gag worthy he thought about throwing the refrigerator and contents out. But he cleaned and scrubbed it. He then used bleach… still smelled , baking soda … still smelled, vinegar… still smelled. Got these and the smell is gone except in the freezer where there had been shrimp and meat. However the smell in the freezer is almost gone. I bought a stainless odor reducer for the freezer and with this and the stainless the freezer is much better.

Greater than one weekAbout two weeks ago I noticed a nasty smell when I opened my refrigerator doors. In another day it was stronger. I cleaned everything out and wiped down every shelf and drawer. A good time to check expiration dates, too. So, I cleared that all up as well. Then I wiped down the rubber sealing around everything. Smelled ok. I put two new boxes of baking soda in and tossed the others that had been in there over a month or two. The next afternoon I noticed the smell coming back so googled what to do next. I saw this product online and thought I’d give it a try. When it came the next day I did the whole fridge cleaning again. This time I took out the shelves and drawers and cleaned them again. They looked ok but thought I’d do it again and if this didn’t work then call the manufacturer. This time I placed the product as noted on the instructions. I also put a small box of baking soda in the fruit and vegetable drawers. IT WORKED GREAT! No more odors. It’s been over a week and I just ordered another so I have it if I need it. Couldn’t be happier. Note; My refrigerator is almost three years old and never had this problem before. I still don’t know what the problem was but, so far, so good.

> 3 dayI was out of state for 3 months over the summer, and needless to say, some of the little remaining food that was in my fridge had gone bad. My fridge smelled terrible even after I threw everything out and washed it. I even tried putting an air purifier in the fridge (a stupid idea in retrospect, but oh well), this is literally the only thing that helped. I was skeptical at first but this is a miracle product, in just a few days the smell is gone. Wonder if they made it in Hogwarts.

Greater than one weekSo far so good. Ice cubes have been tasting funny (I use trays, not the freezer ice maker). I received these the other day and put in the fridge and freezer. Dumped the cubes that were in the freezer and filled the trays to make new cubes. The new cubes came out with absolutely no odd taste.

> 3 dayI recently had an incident where my freezer thawed out and 15lbs of fish spoiled in it. Causing a very bad oder that several weeks of baking soda as well as a simple green scrub could not handle or remove. I was skeptical about this product but, decided to take a chance and much to my surprise it actually worked. Not only has the oder been eliminated, it made it happen in less than 2 days. There is a slight chlorine scent but, its much better than the smell of spoiled fish. I will do a long-term review 6 months from now.
