NOW L-lysine 500 mg, 250 Capsules

My kids and I love this supplement. It seems kind of funny to review something like this since it is simply a staple in our house (and has been for years). My kids and I have a tendency towards canker sores (otherwise known as mouth ulcers). When we are consistently taking this everyday, no canker sores! My teen daughters are not great about consistently taking vitamins every day, but when they begin to develop a canker sore, they start taking L-Lysine and the canker sores go away. My younger daughter has a pretty intense orthodontic appliance in her mouth, which can easily cause sores on her cheeks. I think it is only because of consistently taking L-Lysine that she has been able to make it through this orthodontic process. This supplement is very inexpensive, odorless, and effective. All pros and no cons as far as our household is concerned.

use this for my cats eyes, relieves any symptoms of dry irritated red eyes. If she does not have this she squints, eyes draining. worked also for my white cats eyes which are goopy with crusty eyes. her eyes are beautiful and clean with this. I open one capsule/day between the morning and evening, sprinkling the contents of this one capsule and mix into moist food. averaging 250 per cat per day per cat internist. a must for their eye health. recently I have started taking again for myself daily cant hurt

I gave this to my dog per vets advice. He was on medication which brought down his immune system and caused some other issues. We have since gotten him off the other medication and have been giving him 1000mg/day for 3 weeks and his issues have cleared up. I have also been able to start giving this to our puppy who is having issues as his immune system has not fully developed yet. My puppys issues have cleared up as well within 2 weeks of starting this.

Use this for immune support and boosting for me and my cats. Really helps us all... colds, flu, energy and allergies so duration shorter, recover quicker and can say it saved one of my cats 6 months ago when real sick. She was throwing up, couldnt keep food down and thought I was going to lose her. I increased her dose to three times a day and gave slippery elm 2 times. The combination and a lot of prayers brought her out of whatever was happening and so thankful for this product. A staple in my house and have cats on it from time they are weaned. Helps a lot for me when I am really worn down and helps shorten flu symptoms for me too.

Guess its working. Dont see visible results.

I take 1500(3) day before I go to sleep along with other Amino Acids. It’s considered an antiviral.

When I start to feel a tingle on my lip, I know I’m about to get a fever blister. I hate those things! I take one of these as soon as I can and it won’t form a blister. I don’t take one every day, just when I feel one coming on. Depending on when I take it, it may have to be more than one day in a row that I take it. It totally works.

I am a 28 year old male, who has had canker sores since I can remember. I seem to always get them whenever I binge on sugar (candy/soda) and sometimes will get them 2-3 at a time and they would last for weeks. I actually purchased this bottle almost a year ago and have been testing it out since then. I take these pills maybe 1-2 times a week just normally, but the moment I feel a canker sore coming on, I take 3 capsules a day for a few days and every time the canker sore goes away without fully developing! You canker sore people know the drill, you get that feeling in your mouth of a canker sore coming on, and within a few days its a full-blown pain in your mouth for weeks to come. This has worked for me about a half dozen times now where the canker sore just doesnt develop! If you have tried everything else but Lysine, then I recommend trying out this solution. It may not be your cure-all, but I never thought I would find mine until stumbling on Lysine and am so relieved that I did.

L-lysine is a great supplement that a lot of people dont even know they should be taking. Ive taken Lysine supplements off and on for several years, recently I kept getting weird sores in my mouth so I bought these Now Foods Lysine supplements and within about a week or so they were gone and havent returned after several months. Lysine is good for several things in your body, its an essential amino acid, its great for your skin among other things. Now Foods have always been a great dependable brand with low prices, I know I can trust almost any of their supplements.
