Greater than one weekMy 2021 version worked perfectly to clone hard drives running W11. TECH SUPPORT explains the apparent destruction of source and target drives (before?) or after July 2022 upgade thusly:

> 3 dayI bought this item with the purpose of cloning my hard drive as a back up in case anything went wrong while I was upgrading my computer. There are no instructions as such with it, but it is pretty straightforward.

> 3 dayWhat a piece of _rap. Does not support RAID, which is OK, I don’t have a RAID setup. Help desk of no help. If you do change the BIOS fro RAID to AHCI, Wins 10 does NOT like it a bit, and does a repair, and of course blows away all your data. Like the part the software tells you to proceed at your peril, relieves them of any wrong doing. DO NOT BUY.

> 3 dayI purchased an older version of this s/w on Amazon a couple of years ago. Used it several times with no problems. The last time I used it to clone my system it totally crashed it. Non-recoverable. Had to restore everything from scratch. Couldnt even use the previous clone I had.

> 3 dayIve used various cloning software. I expect this software works OK on healthy drives. It did not work for me. It would not create an image file, nor would it clone a non-active drive. My drive has S.M.A.R.T. with minor prefailure warnings, and I did not want to pay symantec for yet another version of ghost. Ghost is probably the benchmark, but Im not paying for it again, and again, and again. So I thought I would try this. It did not work. I could get an image with DD, but that was clunky and I was not confident in the quality of the resulting image files. A similar collection of tools built into Knoppix also worked but did not work smoothly. After looking at comparison of disk cloning sofware on wikipedia, I ended up with ISOBuster, which was able to both image and clone my drive. If you just want to move an image to another drive from a healthy drive, this software will probably work. Just saying - just because it rolls to the top of Amazon results, doesnt mean its the best or even good. If you need to clone a disk that has warnings but no physical issues, this software did not work for me. It was the least productive software out of several current choices. I thought to do a review on it because I wasted a ton of time on it. Advice is: check out the wikipedia article before you make a choice.

Greater than one weekEasiest software Ive ever used to upgrade a laptop with an old-school 1 Terabyte mechanical drive to a 512 Gig SSD. Longest part was breaking down the laptop to swap out the drives (and thats not really that hard to do). Software worked perfectly and, Wow! What a difference the SSD made. Used to hate using this budget laptop due to the slow boot time and slower read/write when executing programs --now its perfect for my needs and is a pleasure to use. Highly recommend this software and upgrading old mechanical drives to SSD...
