I bought it to take out the stench of a smelly house I had bought. The people that lived there before we’re more about partying and smoking instead of as a home. Some people recommended I use one of these and it definitely took out the smell of smoke inside the home. I don’t know what I would’ve done had this not worked. I couldn’t smell the smoke anymore. It left a neutral smell but with my wax warmers I added my own scent into the home. I asked family that went into the home as soon as I bought it if they could smell the smoke still after and they even said no. I figured I had to get others opinions since I was always in and out and thought maybe I got used to the smell. Definitely worth the price.

I purchased the ‘high capacity’ version of the Enerzen air purifier, and it definitely lives up to its name. A little time goes a long way! I put this in a medium sized bedroom (about 10 foot by 15 foot) for about an hour and a half. Before I even opened the door to get the windows opened up, I could smell the scent of the ozone from the hallway. It almost smells like you literally bleached the air. It would not be a great idea to use this high capacity unit in a smaller home that couldn’t be ventilated properly, but oh my god does this thing work! It resets your rooms back to neutral so that you can use whatever fragrances you choose. I highly recommend this for musty old attics or bedrooms that don’t get used often. You could definitely set this to clean the air in your kitchen after cooking something with lingering odors, but do NOT use this around people or pets. This thing might also kill your plants, so I’d remove those as well. Buy this purifier, it’s the one you’re looking for if you want to BLEACH the air.

We needed to take care of a rental property. We do not allow smoking in the units. The past tenant had been heavily smoking in this unit before we took over management. The owner had it painted but did not take the first steps in painting (the use of Kilz or similar primer that helps rid a room of odors) to help rid the smell. We brought in this unit and in one use rid the whole apartment of the smell. Great investment.

Hurricane Harvey flooded my house, and my car, and all the neighbors, and some family. I bought this during the hurricane, it has been a life-saver. Salvaged goods go in the storage room, I seal it up (painters tape, doors and vents, also locked the cats out of that side of the house) and ozone treat them while Im away at work, when I get home air it out and all the moldy musty smells are gone. I removed the carpet from my car, dried it, replaced the padding and ran the ozone with the carpet in the car. It smells just like it did before the flood. I even had a long day at work, my shirt and I were smelling pretty rank from the contamination on a job site, and I had to go visit a customer. So I put the generator and my shirt in a plastic box, ran it for 5 minutes while I washed up a bit. Shirt smelled nice and clean, with a bit of an ozone twinge to it. I felt much better smelling nice. This is basically a magic odor killing box.

About a year and a half ago, I bought a very expensive Ozone Machine from Air Zone. That lasted about a year before the generator cells needed to be cleaned, which was quite a chore. Even after cleaning it didnt produce ozone nearly as well as when I first bought it. A couple of weeks ago I bought two of these small high-capacity generators. And Im very satisfied. Heres what you need to know: Buying two smaller generators is MUCH better than owning one large one. When I want to shock the entire house, I put one generator at each end of the house, set them for 3 hours and leave. If you have a specific spot youd like to shock, such as your bedroom; you can put one unit in there, close the door and treat the room while youre using the rest of the house. You can buy two of these for WAY less than youd pay for one premium unit. Granted, they dont come with a remote control like my Air Zone generator has. But frankly, who needs it? That remote sits in my bedroom drawer, I never use it. Buying two of these has turned out to be very practical. Each of these generators has one element (my Air Zone generator has two). Essentially, I have the same power as my Air Zone generator with a much greater flexibility of usage. Its too early for me to comment on upkeep (all ozone generators have elements that either need to be periodically cleaned or replaced). With the Enerzen, all you have to do is replace the elements. With my Air Zone, you have to take it apart and clean the elements (a lengthy process that doesnt really restore them to full capacity). Ive used ozone generators since 2001. I speak from experience. DONT buy a heavy-duty unit that sits in a centralized location in your home. Instead, buy two smaller Enerzen units that you can easily move around. To paraphrase a timeless expression: Two gens are better than one!

I had a smell inside my house that had been caused by a plumbing vent ending in my attic... Got that fixed by extending the pipe through the roof. Although the problem was corrected, the smell still remained trapped in the house... I set the ozone generator for 1 hour, got out of the house and came back 2 hours later. OMG what a difference, the smell was completely gone! It has been 3 days now and the smell has not returned! This is beyond my expectations as I was expecting to have the ozone generator working for many days before seeing a difference... I definitely recommend this machine, it works great !!!

This review is for the 9,000mg unit. If you are looking for a no frills, well constructed ozone generator that puts out what it says and then some...You can stop searching and order this machine. It delivers, period. I own a cleaning and restoration company that does flood clean up etc so I have a decent amount of experience with these generators and ozone itself. I use the technology because it works where it is supposed to. Most of the negative reviews Ive seen about ozone come from people trying to make it do what its not intended to do. I digress. Ozone is generated with electricity. That is the tell tale measuring stick to know if a machine is putting out the goods. This machine is listed as drawing 100 watts and that is strong. The fan in the unit is tagged as drawing .25 amps or 30 watts at 120v. That leaves 70 watts to generate ozone. (Yea yea, I know about efficiency losses etc but we are talking a few watts - 10 or 15 at MOST.) If a machine is claiming 9000mgs and its drawing only 30-40 watts total...lies! Flat out lies! It takes power to make ozone. You cant get something from nothing. The pleasant surprise for me was testing and seeing this unit draw 118 watts! Pull out 10 watts for efficiency losses and youve got yourself almost 80 watts of energy making ozone...and it does! Running this machine in a regular sized room running for a few minutes will blow you out of said room. Its that strong. Great for saturating an area and letting the ozone get to work. For the price of this machine, you cant go wrong. You should be paying $200-$300 for a unit that has this output and build quality. Home run! If there is one downside its that there is no constant on switch. You can only run the unit for 120 minutes at a time via the timer. It would be nice to have a choice between using the timer or constant on. For instance I wanted to let it run in a musty basement overnight and could not. For me, its not that big of a deal. Im going to just void my warranty and wire in a nice bypass circuit for the timer. This way Ill have a choice to have it constant on or have it on via the timer. Recap: Build quality - 5 stars. Recently started renting in a place that had a strong tobacco smoke stench, I was getting stressed out about how overwhelming the smell is and starting to think I couldn’t live in the house so I tried everything to get the smell of smoke out, I washed all walls, floors, cabinets with vinegar, put odor killing primer, and then painted and it just smelled like smoke and vinegar so I got more upset so I started researching more and found this machine and it is a lifesaver, it DOES work. The air smells like a rainstorm, but I will take that over the smell of smoke and vinegar any day. We’ve used it multiple time even just in case for mold, dust, bugs, etc. Easy to use but of course be safe and let it air out before staying in the rooms it was just used in. This is a great machine, praying it stays smelling fresh but definitely worth the buy.
