Greater than one weekHavent printed with it yest, just doing diagnostics so far. When they say noiseless.. wow. Unbelievable! I had to mute the TV to make sure it was working! Reason for 4 stars is the simple fact that is was not loaded with anywhere near the latest Marlin. Had to download and load to machine, which is what I am doing now. So in essence, not truly plug and play. I bought it for the simple fact that it is replacing my 8 bit board, and that it is silent.. And needed to be able to burn in my z offset, instead of physically moving and readjusting it manually due to a bed replacement I did. All in all, so far so good. Would have given it 5 stars if it had some sort of current version of Marlin.. Version 2 has been out for a few years.. so that really could have been done.

> 3 dayReceived 2 days after order, installed in less than 4 minutes having never opened up the bottom of my printer before. Wish I ordered this the day I got printer, they should have these installed from factory. Will definitely be ordering another for my 2nd printer. The only thing I can hear is the fans, this removes all the axis motor whining. And my first print even looks better after this upgrade.

03-06-2025After I swapped out my old board for this one, the only loud noises that I could hear came from my fans. A fan/shroud upgrade and psu fan cover should help with that. Anyways, the sounds that come from moving the bed and extruder pretty much dont exist anymore.

> 3 dayUpdating today that there is no bootloader, as described, and the firmware is wrong. This is a fire hazard.

> 3 dayIm happy with the print quality and the sound, but my octoprint let me know that the firmware on the board has issues with temperature monitoring. The issue wasnt present on the stock board, and its upsettting to know that if I didnt have an octoprint, Id likely never have learned of this issue, which seems to me like a potential safety concern. Also, the board has the fan connector in a different location and its not clear which of the two 3 pin slots is the one that was moved.

> 3 dayI wasnt sure if the sound difference would be all that different. HOLY HECK! I used to fall asleep to hearing the printer going. Now, the loudest noise from it is the fans. Theres almost no noise.

04-06-2025This board does not come installed with the firmware version listed in the description and title. The firmware that is installed is known to have a broken implementation of the communication protocol and this can cause print failures and other issues.

> 3 dayAfter hours of trying to update the firmware I realized I hasnt having any success because the bootloader was not installed as described. Tried both .bin files via the SD card and .hex files via direct USB connection. Both update methods worked no problem on my old board but not this one. Quite a bummer as this was supposed to an upgrade over my old board so that I could use the CR touch probe. But, with no bootloader to add the touch firmware, this thing is no better then my old board.

Greater than one weekI was kind of worried it would be hard to install because im not a tech person but i made sure to label everything and take a bunch of pictures. Its actually pretty quiet, i wasnt expecting that big of a difference.
