I am very excited to purchase this item but they sent me a defective one: the focus wheel got stuck and not working. The item arrive not in original packaging. The projector lens cap is missing. The one keystone button is not working. I paid more than $800.00 for this item but they sent me a refurbished none working product. Really frustrating!!!!

This is great for our occasional movie nights or big game nights. It is bright enough and the picture quality is great. I feel like last years model would have worked just as well for me. I bought this for HDR, but there is very little support for it. Other than that great buy.

With just few days and less than 20 hours of use (less than 3 hours in each use), two yellow heat stain appeared on the surface.

The picture quality is good and very bright. Can display a large picture even in small rooms from a near distance. On the downside, it doesnt support wireless connection to video sources.

This is still the best 1080P projector for gaming. The added HDR support makes it a good upgrade over the standard model. Most people think 4K is the best thing in cinema, but it’s really the HDR color that makes it great. I’ve watched the same movie again but in HDR version and it’s really is amazing. The short throw makes it better against the normal throw version since it’s closer to the screen - less light loss on screen.

I had high hopes for this projector after all the reviews but ended up having to send it back due to poor colors leading the picture looking washed out. The Good: Low input lag for gaming Short throw is nice Has good brightness The Bad: -Colors are poor, washed out. Even after using calibration disk and doing lengthy calibration, I could not get the colors to look good. This was the deal breaker for me. It has a lot of calibration options but did not help me achieve good color saturation. - It looked worse playing Xbox One X games. The colors were so washed out that I would never want to play a video game on this projector. - no zoom on the lens. You have to position this projector perfectly to get the right size on the screen. - Only 2 of the 3 posts on the projector are adjustable, the front and back right post. this means if you need to tilt the image to the right, you cannot do it as the back left post is not adjustable. Poor design. In the end I sent it back and got the Benq HT2150ST which is the same price. What a difference! The colors on this projector are vibrant, with proper saturation out of the box. I am intending to still calibrate it but it looks great out of the box. Low input lag for video games and they look great. It has a zoom on the lens to help with getting the picture to easier fit the screen, came with a bag, better post adjustment also for positioning the projection. The throw is not as short as the GT1080HDR but still is a short throw. The shorter throw on the GT1080HDR is nice. I know some say the GT1080HDR can look great with a lot of calibration but to be honest, one should not need to be professionally trained to get the picture to look decent on the projector. It should look good out of the box and be to be improved with calibration. Not look poor out of the box and need a complex calibration to make it suitable. Hope this helps.

That low input lag is incredible for combat gaming especially SMASH ULTIMATE. V.good image quality while projecting on white wall.

You cannot use game mode when you use the correcting picture angle option. Not good at this price. Returned.

But I’m on my second one in a few years the control board on the first one went bad after no more than a few hundred hours. Sadly it was out of warranty.
