I bought this backpack because of all the positive reviews I read across the internet. I was not disappointed. The designers of this pack seem to have thought of everything. I loved the fit, the capacity of the pack, the outer mesh pocket, the hip pockets, and the water bottle holders on the sides. This is a great backpack!

After switching from another backpack, this truly is an anti-gravity pack. It packs well, sits properly on my hips, and allows me to enjoy the hike. Highly recommend!

Cant wait to trail test this! My wife and I have two hiking backpacks, my old Kelty Red Cloud, which is similar in size and fit to this one, and an external frame pack. Im wholeheartedly a fan of internal frame backpacks--the external frame rubs on my shoulders and doesnt feel nearly as comfortable to carry and wear. But this Osprey has awesome ventilation and molds so nicely to your back that I can tell its going to be a great pack. My one minor complaint about internal packs was the lack of ventilation, and just accepted the fact that my back was going to get really sweaty on any hike. The entire Osprey Atmos pack is open and ventilation with this really awesome system of webbing that will allow airflow back there. The best of both worlds! A well-fit and snug pack, with breathability. Although the Atmos is the mens pack, my wife found that it fit her perfectly, at the right size and shape for her shoulders and hips. Perhaps the womens pack would be an even better fit, but she liked this one. I thought it seemed a little narrow in the shoulders for me, and sits a little higher on my waist than I expected, even with the anti-gravity adjustment all the way up. The antigravity adjustment raises or lowers the shoulder straps to the right comfort height for you. Im not a particular big guy--60 and slim, but I still think this would be a wonderfully comfortable pack to wear, and it has a close profile, so you dont have a huge span protruding out of your back, which is great both for traveling and also for going through tighter trails in the wilderness. All the requisite load lifter straps, adjustments, tighteners, extra hooks and loops cover the bag, with plenty of smartly placed pockets and pouches for stashing and organizing your gear. The sleeping back compartment is spacious and the main compartment also has plenty of room for your gear, for a longer trek. Everything seems sturdy and well made, and completely thought out.

The Osprey Atmos 65 is the go to pack for 5 day backpacking trips in my group. Its well designed and built. Carry capacity is spot on for 5 days out in the back country (depending on what you bring). I cant see myself ever using another pack. This is actually my 2nd atmos 65. The first one is 5 years old, has been on multiple trips and shows no wear/tear issues. I just got this one because blue is the best color and i wanted blue. Its worth a bit more to have a pack that will last you years.

Osprey makes a great, comfortable pack. I use this pack now more than my 36 liter stratos. Lots of room for my kind of cold weather hiking. Have not been backpacking with it yet. And, I waited awhile and got a good buy on it.

Best hiking back I’ve owned. Light weight, pockets galore, and can accommodate any style bladder. I put a spare 100oz camelback bladder in this Osprey pack, and it’s perfect. That said, I did knock one star because it did not come with a bladder from Osprey.

I bought the Osprey Atmos back several years ago when they first came out and didnt like it much. It wasnt vert comfortable so I bought a Grant gear crown vic and used it instead. now however I am getting older and in less great shape so I have slowed down greatly. I dont focus in putting the miles behind me any more so I take heavyer loads and walk less miles. I like to fish and hunt and cook on a campfire now. I also take fresh stakes and ribs to grill over a camp fire now so all that adds a lot of weight to a once ultra light backpacking set up. I will have to say that the atmos has came a long way since I bought one when they first came out. i really like this one now especially for heavier loads My granite gear backpack was great for 15 to 20 lbs or so but not so much for 25 to 30 lbs so I will have to say the redesigned Atmos backpacks are very comfortable for that with a lot of bells and whistles I miss out on with an ultralight pack. I highly recommend this pack for heavier loads of 20 to 30 lbs

A great quality pack. Well designed for comfort and function.

The Atmos AG 65 is the best-fitting, most ventilated and comfortable pack ever made for traditional backpacking trips up to a week or more in duration. The innovative AntiGravity suspension makes it feel like you"re carrying less weight and seamlessly wraps around your body, which means you"ll enjoy every mile more than ever. From easy to use stretch mesh side pockets, Stow-on-the-Go trekking pole attachment, and FlapJacket for lidless use, the Atmos AG 65 is still the top contender.
