I like the feature where I can keep protein bar in the small pockets on the belt on by right and left hip. It holds two water bottles. On more intense hikes, use the bottle lock-down pull tabs to secure your bottles. Main pouch holds a banana OR a folded rain coat. if you expect rain. If not bananas, power bars and some bike tools fit nicely. For longer hikes and rides over 25 miles I suggest an Osprey Talon 18 or 22 back pack or the womens versions which all have a cycle helmet attachment. Cool feature.

This pack is awesome! I ride on at least 100 miles on my mountain bike a month and is everything you need when riding. I have an Osprey hydration backpack and I noticed on the downhill portions of my rides, I would have the pressure of everything in my pack weighted on my shoulders. This was a problem especially on longer rides. Many of my friends had the Dakine pack just like this one, but I have stuck with Osprey and they have never disappointed. This pack has lots of space. I ride with two water bottles, my phone, a multi-tool, two tubes, two CO2 cartridges, and a shop towel. All this fits in the pack and still has room for more. This pack is a great price, has lots of room, and everything you need for mountain biking.

A little bit bulky for your everyday run around but perfect for a Day hike or going out on a bike or roller skates

Very comfortable, but the side zippers dont close as easily as I would like.

My only disappointment has been that the magnet has come off.

I’ve been using my standard nalgene more often than smart water bottles despite the weight savings. I wanted a lumbar pack for hot Florida summer hiking and this seemed to fit the bill. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is because I anticipated more storage room but that’s not a deal breaker and honestly is more on me than the product. Still really comfortable and the quality that you expect from osprey

I got this to take on hikes with my dog. I have an osprey backpack but in the summer i dont need to carry much but never have pockets in my pants so I needed something. This has been perfect and had enough room to carry my phone, keys, sunglasses, a snack, dog poop bags, and two water bottles. Thats my minimum. Ive also taken it camping to be able to keep things on me and I can fit my 9mm springfield subcompact, my phone, keys, a small knife, bug spray.... You can really pack this thing if needed! I love it and its so comfy. My favorite part is the buckle. Its large and super easy to operate which is important for me.

My main concern with this pack was that it would feel really awkward and unbalanced when one bottle was empty. This wasnt the case, and honestly the pack keeps the weight so close to you that you dont really notice the weight of the water much at all. At first the pack moved up and down a lot, I found that lowering it onto my hip bones and strapping it down pretty tight kept it securely in place. The storage is a bit small, but Im able to fit all of my essentials in here. I can fit a wind jacket, multitool, spare bike tube, small med kit, a few odds and ends, and a good amount of snacks. This is like the 5th Osprey pack Ive owned in the last few years, they are quality. My hiking pack has lasted me for nearly 6 years and looks good as new, my 3 year old bike backpack has survived all of my worst spills. I can say the build quality from their other packs certainly seems to have manifested itself in this one, and I expect it to last for many years to come. ALSO the people who say their waterbottles are falling out didnt read the instructions. There is a little loop in the bottle holder that snaps into place with 2 snap buttons on each side. This holds your bottle over the strap. Also the shock cord might eventually give out, but its a pretty easy repair. I was never worried about my water bottles coming loose, they seem pretty snug.

Great pack for the price. Large capacity. Easy to access storage pockets.

Awesome MTB Lumbar Pack! Super comfy and happy not to have a sweaty backpack on grueling summer rides. Very stable. Please look at the bottle-holder system before you freak out that your bottles will fall out... there are a set of two male and two female snaps that when put together create a very solid bottle support system (plastic flap curls inwards when snapped, it is flat/flush when not engaged and some people miss it all together), plus a bungee cord to keep it from flying out when you hit that drop or jump! Lost a star though because after my 4th ride, the bungee cord snapped, currently working with Osprey to fix/repair it through warranty. Still feel this is a great lumbar pack though!

It’s finally here—the perfect pack for the mountain biking minimalist. Ideal for quick laps on local singletrack or gravel trails, the Savu lumbar pack has two rigid pockets that make it easy to pull and replace water bottles as you pedal, so you can stay hydrated without stopping. Angled hipbelt and compression straps keep the pack close to your body and provide maximum stability over every type of trail. No creep-around here. Not a two water bottle kind of ride? No problem. Each water bottle sleeve can tuck away when not needed to provide a streamlined pack. Any way you customize it, the main compartment and side hipbelt pockets will fit vital flat-fixing tools, a tube, snacks, and other small mountain biking essentials.
